If I might suggest something when watching Tool; always wear headphones so you can hear all the intricacies in their music, avoid videos as they can distract from the music, and try for lyric videos so you can understand what Maynard is singing as the lyrics are soooo important. That’s one song from a 2 hour set. He’s amazing. And he’s 58 years old in this video. He’s the drummer for Tool and their rhythm section is second to none. Check out some Black Sabbath. Bill Ward on drums and Geezer Butler on bass are top notch. Go with War Pigs live in Paris 1970 to see what that’s all about. Even though they do Geezer dirty and only show him for about 15 seconds.

Maddy Danny is the drummer for Tool. Go back to the Sober video and look closer at the drummer......It's Danny. For most bands, it's true for the bass and drums to be the foundation, but Tool is another monster altogether. Adam Danny and Justin are all three playing different time signatures weaving in and out of each other while also linking up at different points of the song.
