Interesting reaction. It is estimated that over 1 million Britons are descended from William the Conquerer (that’s 1 in 60 ish) so it’s not that unusual especially if you exclude people that know their family arrived to the UK later via immigration. The hardest part is making the connection into a documented line as royal heritage is quickly forgotten after just a few generations. It would also appear that I am related to Danny as Edward III is my 16th great grandfather!

He had nine brothers and sisters all listed on the ships passenger list. I also hired a Hungarian genealogist who went to The Hungarian document center in Arad. He got birth certificates/marriage certificates and tons of family information for BOTH my great grandad and grandmother! If you think about it, everyone who has European ancestry has some ties with royal blood. For my ancestry, my paternal great grandmother was a direct descendant (through her father’s line) of Charlemagne and our ancestors where cousins of William the Conqueror. Also, my grandmother is a descendant of the Stewards, then the Tudors along with the Yorks (which is also a branch of the Plantagenets). So I guess you can say Danny Dyer and I are distant cousins 😂

I don’t know, my uncle has traced several of our ancestors to the 13th and 14th centuries with parish records, and none of them are royal.

So he has some distant, ok very distant relatives in Iceland, as Rollo' s half-brother Hrollaugur Rögnvaldsson settled large parts of SE Iceland. is.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hrollaugur_R%C3%B6gnvaldsson

That normally happens to royalty, they loose it all ( family greed) but then generations later the blessings are restored to the right future heir.
