I was 17 & my very 1st live concert ever was Oingo Boingo in SoCal. Dead man’s party, Stay, Just another day and on & on. Then Mr. Elfman moved on to scoring movies and again, they were just as unforgettable. Then here he was headlining Coachella 2022. I truly hope the Coachella generation understands this was a legendary performance. Mr. Elfman is a true artist. He gives his all to every performance 👏👏👏

Just so everyone knows, the reason he was off sync in the beginning wasn't because he messed up. Right after he was off sync he looked right and pointed up. That's a signal to the sound guy that his in ear monitors where too low, and he needed it louder because he couldn't hear the band. Then after he points up, it's fixed immediately, then notice how he then continues to sing perfectly in sync with the music. As a professional musician myself, it happens. All the time. Especially at live events where there are more than one artist performing in the night, and everyone has to have an individual sound check. Odds are, there's going to be blunder here and there from the sound engineer unless he remembers everything to the T. Props to him for singing perfectly on time in the beginning, even though he couldn't hear anything.

If you didn't see Boingo back in the 80-90's then you really missed the real Danny, and the band. I've seen Boingo 30 times, and once on a TV show called MV3. His Halloween, and New Year shows were beyond words. And after he blew out his appendix. A month later he did a 3 1/2 hour concert at the Palace in Hollywood. I'm sure people are happy to take what he gives now. But truthfully. Go on KZbin and search out his 80's and early ,90's concerts. I was backstage for the farewell concert. And even that isn't as great as Biingo's earlier years. Boingo was made up of amazing musician's. Not just Danny Elfman. You're missing that as well.
@scotttubiolo90282 жыл бұрын
Couldn't agree more. I've only seen Oingo Boingo 6 times 1st in 86 last in July of 94 and since the I've seen over 500 concerts from Skinny Puppy to Pink Floyd and everything in between.. and out of all the great bands I've seen. Oingo Boingo is who I'd give anything to see again. I think of all the songs we've missed out on the last 25 years due to many circumstances. It's one of the great tragedies in music..

@devinpoole45282 жыл бұрын
Some? I'd b willing to say he's probably more talented than just about every artist there. I mean most of em just go out there with music and lyrics created by a large group of ppl so all they have to do is perform. He does it all. And he's pushing 70. That by itself is impressive. I hope I look half as good at that age lol

This guy & his band and orchestra was by far the best entertaining show concert at Cochella, but he totally rips of a combination of Black Sabbath/Ozzy & the band Sparks. This music is so much Sparks material that they should be able to sue him for stealing their style. But I must admit the combination of Black Sabbath & Sparks is unique in it's own. But I find it funny it takes almost 30 people to basically create the music that 4 piece bands Sabbath & Sparks was doing years before this.
@syvajarvi22892 жыл бұрын
The Sparks influenced a lot of bands and writers back in the 80s, same with Ozzy/Sabbath. Take a good listen to any synth pop band from the 80s and you will hear the influence. Many credit them in interviews as being a driving force to the sounds of bands like the Smiths, Erasure, and many others. The Sparks were ahead of their time and lead the way with classical orchestrations when they transitioned to “art pop” that crossed over into rock/metal as well as pop in the 90s. Influencing a sound can’t be copy righted but giving the Sparks credit is a show of class from the people they inspired. Some artist name drop them to get their name out to a wider audience, which is wonderful.

Romans 10 8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.".
