In defense of the crowd: 1. People were definitely having fun. I was there and there was plenty of dancing and singing along at Billie’s show and other shows. My iPhone camera doesn’t capture every single detail. 2. It’s a festival, lots of casual fans. Especially of a band who was not on the lineup like Gorillaz. 3. This was at the end of a 13 hour day of concerts. It’s really hard to stand for that long. 4. recording concerts is fine. I have found it more enjoyable to leave with a few videos to remember them. I can still sing along and have fun. Most people I see recording at shows are too busy dancing and don’t realize they’re getting an awful video. It also beats the alternative of people talking, which can ruin a show far easier than recording.

i guess its the new generation which for my observation seems less sponatnious and in the moment living -> more about making a video and showing you where there. im a new generation kid and ok would not make a vid and would dance there but if i look at my generation and then the one that was before us.. they are much more alive , creative, do new things and startups more easily etc.. i know this pisses people off for some reason when something "bad" is said about the smartphone era kids. but the only good thing i can say about my generation is that we are more open minded for switching alcohol into mushrooms, weed or whatever drug which builds new connections in your brain or may bring self reflecting etc.) and using everything a liitle bit instead of drinking every week of our youth. then again we are the stay home generation, content with a phone and being home (we are conditioned to this too for the last two years). and we are a generation that has been suffering from everything getting more expensive and at the other side teachers telling our whole life that when we are big, robots gonna do our job , the economic being worse than ever and the world ending because of climate change😅 so those are not really motivating things. also its not our fault, someone has brought us up and spoiled us, hehe. but yeah .. at least where i am this is the typical 15-25 year old life and the younger ones are most propably gonna be more passive, unmotivated and less in the moment than my generation is (which is sleepy af), if we dont change our being with technology and new big love to accepting everything that politicians say +spoiling our kids. greetings from a passive spoiled begin 20 year old , i would rather had been born 5 to 10 years earlier to make a smarphone free youth and then get into this tech full world 🙄 but then thats just me, trying to learn to control this problem and just my opinion . ps. thats another typical thing for us, we are edgy as fuck , and we have been told so many times that someone may get sad if you use the wrong pronoun or whatever that we are scared about having our own opinions and being proud of how we are. 🤷♀️ most people tell me that the world was better before and then a certain group of people gets really mad bcs they love tech and dont want to hear any negative aspects on it. they usually also say "your phone use is in your own hands, you just need to control it". society doesnt make this easy, give a coke bag to a junky and tell them to portion the coke ... i like youtube , i like the possibility to communicate with people around the world and get ancient knowledge about tribes and old rituals and all kinds of stuff, BUT they want us to microchip ourselves and live in metaverses etc. and if its already hard for us and our mental health, how would it be then? i think saying that this is the way we will go regardless of our opinion is such bullshit because literally 90% of the people ive talked with about this say this, meaning that they dont want it :D who determins the world future, WE do, and we SHOULD have a opinions on it. ok bye, gorillaz is great 🤓🌞🌸✨

Not sure if Damon ever played solo, but his 'Everyday Robots' tour stop @ Bonnaroo was laughably under attended because it wasn't under the Gorillaz name yet was mind-blowingly good. He brought Del out for "Feel Good Inc."! He brought De La Soul out for "Clint Eastwood"! He played fuggin' "Out of Time"!! Billie fans, jam more Damon in all forms is what I'm saying 🙏🥚✨🌺

@Surann Phillips I presume that you were a young adult/teenager closer to the time that Feel Good Inc. came out in 2005. Do you know the lyrics to a song that came out in 1988 by a band that you might have heard of but not actively listened to before? This is Billie's crowd. They are not uncultured, neither are you. Music evolves, and the biggest songs in your life might fall to obscurity in the next generation. (Although, I'd hardly consider being on stage during a headlining Coachella performance, obscurity)

The people in the crowd have never seen or have never understood that gorillas is an actual band and is made of real people...so the moment they hear it on a person they have no clue who he is🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️. Most people in the crowd are barely old enough to remember avicci...let alone gorillaz 😅
