@@stephanholland6181 If I were to guess, they took him most of the way up by a helicopter. There must've been a heli with medics on board around in case something went wrong the whole magic is to not show any of that on the video, which is admirable, but I'm sure there was a helicopter flying above ready to help in a matter of seconds. given all that, great video and massive balls to actually ride that hill lots of risky points and the bike's grip and break shields' performance during the steep parts were actually incredible
@kimanchininja3 жыл бұрын
It looks like an Ebike too,
@leftaroundabout3 жыл бұрын
I mean, sure, carrying a full-sus bike is tedious (it's not an e-bike BTW, that's just Santa Cruz' rear suspension design), and over these rocks it's pretty difficult. But it's not something most accomplished&fit climbers couldn't also handle. The carrying part is _nowhere near_ as remarkable as his riding down, which is just total madness. And: I doubt they actually used a helicopter much for getting up. Most of the work for this video was probably “research” to find the best way to ride down, and practicing the dangerous parts (i.e. _all_ parts) a bunch of times, with safety mats lying around and maybe security rope and whatnot. That would have taken a lot of time during which the helicopter wouldn't be needed, and helicopters are _expensive_ - even for a star like him.

Absolutely unbelievable ! I've watched a lot of Danny's videos over the years but, for me,this is on another level One tiny mistake and it could have been catastrophic. INCREDIBLE !! !! !! !!

It's literally insane. You got me into Trials riding nearly a decade ago, and have now mastered Mountain Bikes, doing the impossible. You do things bikes weren't designed for and I'll always be a fan. Stay safe

Dude you’re out there living your life and I love it. You’re going to have memories most of us won’t have and many are too afraid to even make for whatever reason. Stay safe in your travels and please keep adventuring on!

Danny Macaskill might have at least 2 personal repairmen and always have 1 repairman check over the other's work.

He probably does everything himself. He worked as bike mechanic.

@@weedaviec Really? Cool. In that case I assume he works on his bikes himself, occasionally hiring a 2nd bike mechanic to double check his work just in case
