@@kamixakadio2441 IMO it was disappointing in a sense that we never really got to see how Finn and Jake spent their life after the series ending. Heck, we don't even know if Finn ever had children to continue his legacy or something. For me Adventure time was 'primarily' about Finn and Jake. After the series all we can assume is that Jack dies of old age, Finn becomes a guardian to one of Jake's granddaughters and he lives a lonely life as an adventurer until his death via also old age.

You want to know what I appreciate about this show in hindsight? It had a conclusive ending that wasn't only good, but it stayed finished. No reboot, no sequel, no successor with endless call backs to its original. It was just a good show that told it's story and had it reruns for years. This show is amazing, and I am glad to have been born in the right generation for this to be my childhood show where I sit in the middle of the floor waiting for this to come on.

The one thing about endings I wish every series did, was do a flash forward cut a couple years or more. I always love seeing the main couple older with a family or something, and to see where all the side characters are years later.

Denouements are tough for me to watch or read. If the story ends in a “happily ever after”, the story kind of implies everyone lived on in a boring and pointless life and never had a fun adventure again. Which hurts a bit. Or the story implies they had lots of fun adventures that I don’t get to watch, and now I’m upset that I missed out on an even cooler story. If it’s a tragic ending, then the author basically just spells out everything I feared came to pass and the protagonist’s life, or their friend’s lives if said protagonist is dead, sucks majorly. Even if the ending is bitter sweet, it still sucks. I kind of prefer swift and sudden ends. If it’s a “happy ending”, the protagonist wins, they have a brief celebration, and cut to credits before you have time to consider what happens next. That way, maybe they continued to have adventures or maybe they didn’t. I haven’t missed out on anything yet. Hey, maybe there will be another season.

Danny Phantom was what changed my mind from thinking Butch Hartman is just a dollar store Seth MacFarlane. Guy can honestly write great characters and fantastic lore. Really shows how the animation can do more than just look like the fairly oddparents. Cartoons with active character arcs and long-form stories are what gives me life.

butch Hartman almost had nothing to do with the show or the writing. He came up with the concept and overspent on the budget, which led to the canceling of the show.

I didn't see the series until 2018 when I was 17, so I a full 11 years after the original run ended, and I still ended up getting the full series on dvd that summer, and I loved it. It's still one of my favorite nicktoons.

Didn't Realize the show has ended. Liked the show back then cause "Danny's" powers were different from most Main stream comic heros and the show had 'light terror' for wholesome family viewing. The story premise i think can be built into something more serious if they ever think of doing a movie. ❤

This was a wonderful trip down memory lane. I loved this show growing up. It’s fun to speculate how the show would have progressed if given another season, or a time skip 10 years later. But, even a comic series taking place after season 3 would suffice. Either way, the show’s popularity isn’t to be understated.

Phil hartman, who created this series, said it's one of my smallest beloved, and he wished wasn't canceled like the issue was nickelodeon, Who kept renewing his other projects like fairy odd parents But whenever you get to new projects, they don't last much longer. I mean, just a couple seasons, and they're done. He said that on the KZbin channel.

I know there’s that novel “A Glitch in Time” but I’m kinda disappointed on how it ended. Although, it currently remains debatable and if it and its upcoming sequel are officially canon to the show’s continuity due to a few flaws it has. Not to mention Danielle was left out of the action and hasn’t even become part of Danny’s family yet as Hartman hoped to have done ages ago.

I LOVED this series as a kid but i never got to see it end because my country stopped airing it midway. The last episode aired was the Dark Danny one. And the second half of the episode was never even shown! I remember being so upset because the next day the channel re-started with the first episode again and I-🫠 Back then the internet wasn't that big so i never found the episodes anywhere else. And sadly that's how my Danny Phantom story ended

Phantom Planet is far from satisfying. Though I guess it depends on who you ask. My reasons for saying this are because there was a lot of loose ends that didn't get tied up. Characters (like Vlad) was being phenomenally stupid for no reason. Secret identities got revealed to the public for no reason, and everything was going at a rapid speed with little down time, causing the pacing to be horrendous. We get hardly any reaction from Valerie of all people, to see the boy she had been hunting down for revenge was the same boy she dated and fell in love with, and gave him up so he wouldn't be dragged into danger with her. The last episode before Phantom Planet built up Valerie knowing Vlad's identity, but we get nothing from that either. Danielle wasn't even in Phantom Planet, at least not for any significance. There wasn't any real build up to Sam and Danny getting together. Yeah, they had blushing moments, and hints they liked each other, but they never went on proper dates or anything before they just suddenly decide to kiss each other. I could go on as the list for why I think Phantom Planet is anything but a satisfying conclusion is incredibly long, but I think it's good to stop here. My point is that the show had potential, but it felt like the ending was rushed and undeserved. I am a huge Danny Phantom fan, so believe me when I say it could've done so much better. But A Glitch in Time shows hope that maybe now Danny Phantom will have the conclusion it really deserved. At the very least, it confirmed the return of Evil Danny, since he was teased to come back before the show abruptly ended. But these are just my own opinions on the matter.
