Danny is the king of the marathon mix! I loved this era. Because songs were long enough to give you something to mix into and mix out of. The song tells a story. Instead of today where I just get the cliff notes

@@drkdrumz if you were to ask Danny who’s the best, he wouldn’t agree with you. technically ?… technical doesn’t make you dance. How many times have you been to the garage?

Out of all the parties in NYC that iv'e missed Danny's parties are amongst the top on that list. I found out about them REAL LATE . When his parties where at 6 HUEBERT i didn't know, all i knew was SHELTER and later BODY & SOUL, i knew the name because i was buying records produced by him. But when i found out he was doing parties it was like 97,98,99 somewhere in there.

new yorkers tend to think disco is house music , or larry levan played house... attention !... thats not house music i would agree disco was a formidable template.....house music was more cut and paste ..... with hyped up drums.....thats why new york stlye didnt take off in europe.... and no frankie knuckles wasnt the godfather of house.... frankie was brought to chicago for the gay crowd... he didnt know what the term house music was he just caught a wave because chip e, ron hardy , and vince lawrence /.....wasnt marketing themselves like that .... there first record ever in official house music with the term in the song was by chip E

+MrSteven2945 Preach! New York no more invented House than London invented Techno. Chicago House is distinct, even down to the Hot Mix Style. The early styles of First Choice etc. might have influenced songs like Jack Your Body, but the early songs like Time to Jack are Chicago originals. Acid House and Hip House as well. Pump up Chicago. Detroit Techno (I'm from Detroit...) had a depth and complexity that Europe took years to catch up to. It's all one big House now, but never forget that "This is the House that Jack built"!

House music was created in NY, not Chicago but they love to claim it.

Do the math. 8 million people live here...50 million people visit every year...when it comes to Art and Culture...New York City took over Paris' spot ...it's influence is so strong that when most people think of America they think of the island of Manhattan...check out the lyrics to West Side Story's America!
