@gooseflatwaterfowlers4 жыл бұрын
He drove for Travis Carter in 99-2000 and he raced Fords those years. I think Hendrick supplied engines to them for 91 and 92. Chassis are easy to get especially in those days lot of chassis builders not many built chassis in house like they do now

Also, for context on some of the results. From 95-the mid 2010s the truck series was extremely healthy with several teams capable of winning races. Far cry from what it is today. So those results from back then are really impressive.

Darrell actually owned his own car when he first got to cup. He won in it too. His 91 team was just a continuation of his team in the 70s. That’s part of the reason why he decided to start it back up. He felt like he could be a successful owner. He never even planned to drive for anyone else. Stevie had to convince him to sign with DiGard. As he felt like he was already running better than them. ( he was). But she reminded him that they were spending their own money racing. When he could be getting paid to do it.
@tritontransport2 жыл бұрын
I wasn’t a fan of his but I really respect DW style and personality which is something today’s drivers lack and nascar doesn’t allow them to have anymore which is the result of bill France jr passing away. Bill Jr dying changed nascar far more than Dale Sr passing did.
