Just did it yesterday for the first time ever. I was super nervous, but once we get in there, it was just about not healing too quick into an engagement and healing the targets as needed. Wasn’t hard, but it required active attention and some small planning. It was super helpful when someone asked for us to take it nice and easy and we slowed down to a point where it was easy to get a rhythm in my heals and attacks. Good luck!!!

All those cloth items with agility and spirit were some of the best things a priest could get back in original vanilla before 1.12 they made it to where agility didn't scale with your wand anymore. If you had one that was 2 to 4 tenths slower than a daggar you could seriously smash out white damage

How do you switch between the heal targets within your party, do you use a keybind? or direct target

Yes with keybinds, macros /target party1, /target party2 and like that till party4 and have them on the action bars

I may have misunderstood but I was under the impression that if a character had HoTs on them before they went into combat the heals from the HoTs counted towards their own threat table and not the person that cast the HoTs.

I'm pretty sure Prayer of Mending works that way but that comes in TBC

As Danny says yeah, that's only with spells like Prayer of Mending and Earth Shield. The player with the buff will get threat as the game kind of sees it as their cast when the shield is activated.

Do not put hot on target before combat and do not heal the target before he get aggro on the mobs. The mobs will come for your instead. But of course there are always exceptions to the rule.

I think I read that the heals from renew HoT won't count as threat towards the healer until the healer is "in combat". still not a good idea to pre-renew since you will be in combat soon but you can get some time without getting threat if you did happen to pre-renew just don't wand at first

I'd love to say this is not necessary, since Deadmines is so simple, but looking at some people you'd get the idea that they haven't grasped the basics even after lvl 30-40.

For me, it is nice to watch the entire dungeon be healed on HC. Can see the tempo the team goes, the levels. His thoughts behind each pull. Just further reassures you that it is possible and not as intense as it feels :)

I was wondering I healed DM at level 20 priest and have access to "heal" spell. "heal" is most mana efficient but it seems like to get mana efficiency out of it you have to let the tank get very low...not so great for HC? so better to use lesser heal/flash heal if needed at this level seems like? in non-hardcore could be greedier ofc and get more efficiency

im watching more and see you use "heal". i was mostly too scared to rely on it and used smaller heals haha not sure what is recommended

Yeah at this low level Lesser Heal is still useful and is more mana efficient than Heal. Thats why it's more efficient because it heals less so you can use it more often and it costs less mana and Heal will overheal a lot since you don't want to let the tank get low to make the full use of Heal's healing and Heal costs a lot more mana at this level it's too much. Even at later levels the highest rank biggest heal is never spammed it's just in case and is rarely used, most often heals are lower ranks cause they are more efficient.

Hey Danny! I notice you are targeting people to heal them. Is there no way to do mouseover macros in HC? Someone told me Luna doesnt work in HC. Thats how I use to do my mouseover heals.

No addon, in game interface options, at the bottom you check "use raid style party frames" and your party will look like your raid and you enable options like power bars, class colors to make it look the way you want

I hate how overly cautious people are in hardcore. There is a new toxic mentality you have to be 3 to 5 levels over the dungeon to run it. Deadmines can be ran at 17ish but hardcore idiots demand 21 plus. It's ridiculous.

Its videos like this that tricks new players into wiping groups in dungeons when they play healers. You should never use damage spells as a healer, ive seen whole grps die because the priest went oom spamming dots so please dont make the new people worse then they allready are :P
