I’m still blown away by how good this film is. I sat down hoping that it would be great for Danny and the crew. I knew going in that some part of me was searching for things to praise about it but about 7 minutes in I completely forgot to be looking for positive notes about it..bc it’s just genuinely good. The story, the characters, the writing and the visuals pull you in so quickly and you can’t help but be invested in the characters. I joked with Danny before going in that I had some fake tears ready but they were definitely not needed. Danny, to you and the crew, y’all crushed it. You made a freaking feature film. I’m sure this isn’t the reason you made it, but just like everything else you put out, this film and the way that it was produced proves that filmmaking is changing and that we as artists are able to tell stories that are important to us and important to the world.
