For the fire thing, fire requires oxygen to burn. The reason the drone fell like that was because fire is constantly sucking in air, and something as lightweight as a drone can't resist that pull so it was sucked into the fire. Also the high temperature would've fucked around the engine.

My dad is a retired cop, my dad is a good man, good father, and good husband. But while he was on duty he upheld oppressive systems, whether he wanted to or not, and learned some prejudices that seemed necessary to make quick decisions on the job. He's been unlearning some of that since retirement. And luckily off the clock he's the kind of man I can have honest conversations with, and he's willing to learn and change. But being a cop didn't make him a better person, he's a good man despite being a cop. You can't be a cop without holding up oppressive systems it's just a fact. I know a lot of cops do the best they can within those systems, my dad was one of them, and I'm going to assume you are too. And I don't judge who you are off the clock. There's just some realities of enforcing law, law that is often unjust.

3:46 is my time to be a stem gay. Hot air creates pockets of low pressure around them as the particles rise due to convection currents. I think the drone works by the propellers displacing enough air so that the drone flies but since the fire created a pocket of low pressure( also combustion uses up oxygen in its reaction) there wasn’t enough oxygen present for the drone to displace to keep it up so it just fell… I think that’s right but I might be wrong. :) you’re videos are awesome

I used to help with designing drones and the sheer amount of direct fire damage and the amount of heat caused the interior tech to shut off/ malfunctioned but, I don’t know if that’s true for that certain brand but most likely that’s what happened. Depending on component temperature thresholds a) the drone components could have melted or b) rotor engines build a up draft from the displaced air and the extreme heat could have shifted it's updraft past itself. Thus it had nothing keeping elevated and it dropped.

The drone was very close to the fire, so the propellers either started to melt, causing the to stop working, or the air overwhelmed said propellers, and they weren’t able to move the air around the drone, like it is supposed to!
