you too mate, yeah wayi see it you have got to feed the smaller fish and then try and get the bigger ones in and keep them, why i tend to choose swims you can bait up by catapult on at least one rod as well. hope have a good weekend mate

@@DannysAnglingBlog Yes Danny, Otters. Why reintroduce a species that has no apex predator at the expense of another species that has no strategy or defence against them ? In years to come they will become uncontrollable vermin and need to be culled. Otters are known for decimating their own environment and that is why they were taken out in the past. Beavers however are a good idea........

Where abouts on the wye? Fished the red lion stretch for about 15 years, not been in about 10 though

We were booked for Spain but went to Herefordshire instead. Great move! I've never fished the Wye before. Fished at Ballingham and also Dean and Chapter on Wye and Usk Foundation ticket. Caught barbel ...but only ever in the three hours after dawn. River was very low. Didn't fish in the evening.

Another sterling job Dan, l fish the Severn on the Lymm card myself last couple of weeks its been hard work. Been arriving very early morning leaving early evening. I am obviously missing the trick , fishing into darkness seems to be the best tactic? difficult when traveling from a bit further than you. without upsetting anybody what stretch was that? if it would upset anybody say nothing mate. Wouldnt want to cause you any problems. Keep up the good work. Oh and anybody from Korum watching give him a job :) me and a mate are into grands of your gear because of this lad.

No point getting there early mate. I usually get there mid afternoon. Spend a few hours trickling bait in, start fishing a few hours before dark until midnight to 2am. Great vid again Danny, last time I was there it was very low! Hopefully it will have abit in by next Saturday 👍😁

agree totally the severn is fishing super hard and its got to be down to the lack of cover with streamer weed mostly gone. Its the atcham stretches mate i normally fish fishing into dark and plenty of hemp i think is making a difference as well as fishing light with small hooks and line. will do best with the vids mate tight lines.

Jay Johnson!! Do yourself a favour my friend,I wouldn't bother leaving the house before lunchtime at this time of year especially if the river is low.Fish from 6pm till midnight,you won't believe how easy it is,it's barbel after barbel,I kid you not🎣

Great catch Danny, just shows how a change to the vegetation can make a difference to the fishes habits. You knew they were going to come late on though. ! Would have been easy to go home early and say that the length is rubbish, because of the cormorants to and otters... Well done mate 🖒🖒

Just come back from 2 weeks fishing on the Severn at upper Arley. Had a 10lb and a 11lb barbel. The 11lb being my pb. Had loads of 6, 7, 8 pounders. Even had a 15 lb pike on the pellet. Also had a mink trying to get at my ground bait.

I fish the swale and ure in north Yorkshire and they fishs better when their carrying a bit of water a carp rod a gripper lead and a cube of meat works well
