As someone from Houston the jersey actually does a great job repping the hip hope scene. Purple is a big color for rap songs here due to lean originating in Houston and lean is purple. That’s why the uni is purple.

So, as a Sounders fan, I'll admit I didn't like the Anniversary Kit from the initial promos, and I thought they could've done better with something that mixed elements from their NASL, A-League/USL, and MLS eras. But once I saw it on the field, it quickly started to grow on me. I think it really depends on your ability to tolerate 70s designs, because it sure does embody 70s aesthetics (for better and worse). But then again, my big winner of this year's jerseys is Charlotte's, so I probably just have opinions that run counter. 😅

I’m a Houstonian and a dynamo fan and purple really does represent the hip hop culture here. Most noticeably associated with DJ Screw and The Screwed Up Click and everyone in Houston know exactly why it’s purple. It’s lean, dirty sprite or the color of grape cough syrup but aren’t allowed to say it out loud

TFC’s kit… GTA stands for “Greater Toronto Area” and not global. We all call it the GTA over here to represent all the cities surrounding Toronto. I didnt like the kit at first but it’s growing on me, and seeing it on the players it looks much better! Plain yes, but should be higher on the list! Give it time!!!

I'm glad someone else said it about the Seattle kits. Maybe it's just because I'm not from the area so I don't share their nostalgia, but it just looks dated and messy. I don't understand the love it's received at all. And I'm happy for your sake the Fire brought back the red. Those fire crown years were absolutely brutal. I think my favorites are Charlotte and Vancouver. The blue and white stripes look great to me, and I love how clean the Whitecaps' navy and gold looks. #DFTID

I think the Timbers have one of the best jersey combos in the league right now… both kits look amazing. The green plaid is just perfection for me, and I’m so happy with how these new kits look too. I’m not a fan of centered badges but at least it makes sense with the design, so it gets a pass
