Used to go to Sam's Town when it was still in the middle of the dessert. A big camping destination! Every year the town spread closer and closer to it! Food was always just decent. - but they had the best bingo! Thanks for the talk about not necessary to pay for watching!!!!

Agree on Longhorns. Their Outlaw Ribeye 20oz bone-in is amazing. Usually $28-$32 depending on location. But it comes with sides and free bread appetizer too.

The good old days when I still live in LA, Sam's Town was our place to hangout with my local Vegas friends. Good food and betting on horse racing. Never been there for decades and I might try that steak and lobster next time for old time sake. 👍

I was over there last march ( a year ago), I had never been to Fridays at Sam's Town, I've been at the Orleans Friday's and it was better than this one, in fact everything we ordered was bad, I thought it was because of the hour (it was at midnight), but no, it's not good, there are a lot of better places around Sam's Town. 7:56 - YES! i was right about the rice. its kids cooking the stuff, you know that right? teens mostly. my guess is that they cooked it and, just like on a buffet, the rice at the top dries out and its like it was never cooked, gets dehydrated again.

My first thought was that it had to have been mock tender. The best lobster I ever had was in St. Lucia at a Jump Up at the beginning of lobster season in September. It's basically a big street party with food, music, and vendors. I had about a 5 lb. lobster for $13 grilled with lime, butter, and garlic. There were some huge lobsters! 2nd best was Miami at a private party. The lobster enchilado was cut by the tail sections and in a spicy tomato sauce with peas. The worst lobster? Also, Miami at the Jai Alai Fronton decades ago. It was so bad that I swore I'd never eat it grilled again, but St. Lucia changed my mind.

I stayed there in the summer of 2019. That special was $13 or $14 then. It was good but the lobster was very small. I got brocolli and it was good too. It was about the size of the one you get at Tony Roma's on their special but for the price its ok.

Hi Danny (or Dan as one viewer always calls you... grrrrrr... lol). So is there a double entendre in the offering of "CHOICE of two side dishes?" To look on one hand (wash your hands first please!) they offer you only one of two sides.... example... CHOOSE rice or veggies. Select ONE. In this scenario you select which one of the two. On the other hand (again, clean hands only!) you get to pick two side dishes from their selection of more CHOICES. You selected the Jasmine (partially under/un cooked... yes I've properly steamed Jasmine rice before... a LOT), rice and the rice included some veggies. Did that count as "your CHOICE of two side dishes... Rice AND Veggies? BTW I am not a medical professional (I'm Media) but you are correct... the lobster did resemble a hernia. From what I recall your Tony's downtown experience was more bang for the buck. P.S. I love that you read all of your comments and actually reply sometimes. Take care... stay safe! Gregg.
