I'm Chinese Thai. We immigrated to NYC early 70s. My father was a bus boy. My mother was a waitress. My aunt who came with us worked in a sweat shop in Chinatown. I remember her taking me to work. She'd sit me in the corner with a bowl of roast pork over rice while she made garments.

My mom was a sweatshop partner many years ago. As a child we used to operate the old elevators with the metal gates and cut thread getting paid by piece. As a teenager I worked PT delivering thread to various sweat shops in Chinatown. You should keep ordering the same dim sum dishes as they with serve as reference to compare different places. They are also my favorite dishes (har gow, shu mai, seen juk gurn, etc.) BTW, moonphases are new moon, waxing crescent, first quarter, waxing gibbous, full moon, waning gibbous, last quarter, waning crescent, new moon. Also like your 90's retro suit. Keep dem videos coming. Peace bro ✌ Btw you hold chopsticks the proper way

Very handsome! The hat was a nice New York touch! My two grandfather's worked as a bus driver and a junk man, respectively. I only saw them in suits when they went out or we visited. My dad was an engineer. He wore a suit to work.Generally changed out of it unless he was going out to dinner in his younger years. FYI the ice cream place in Hammonton opened Saturday. No blueberries yet. Nobody wears a suit there.
