Good 370Z review Danny. Here’s my notes: Bought a 370Z Nismo a few years back, used completely stock. 2010 Well maintained with only about 40K on the clock. So someone’s garage baby who had to sell when he had a kid. I added: 1. Stillen Gen3 long intakes. 2. Stillen 34 row oil cooler (yes it’s needed in CA) and yes it all fits. 3. Murdered the stock Nismo wheels Black. 4. JVC stereo with backup cam (needed). Problems: 1. Fuel thing Danny says - my gauge just stopped going to full tank. 2. Steering wheel lock failed (common fault) stranded me once. Google for fix. Cost me
@alienpoker4 жыл бұрын
Correction: I meant for #2 that 370Z models later than 2013 had no Electronic Steering Column Lock from factory. Google “ESCL 370Z” and check the370Z.com forum for more info. If it’s still working on an earlier than 2013 370Z - pull the fuse before it fails. You will still have anti-theft, just no steering wheel locking.

The automatic trans in these 370z are actually very reliable. With proper maintenance they shouldn't fail on you unless you're pushing quite a bit of power numbers over stock. If you plan on going FBO the auto is fine. If you're looking for forced induction of any sort then the manual is the only option. I bought a auto only because I can only afford to have 2 cars now and if my wife needs to drive my car it would need to be an auto. The only benefit to the auto over a manual is that they are slightly quicker and you don't have to deal with constantly mashing that clutch in bumper to bumper traffic. Manuals on any car will be more fun to drive and "rewarding".

I bought a 07 350z enthusiast convertible. (I like convertibles) Bought it with 75k miles in 2019. 3 previous owners. Everything was stock except the carb legal kn intakes. And the driver window motor was replaced. No reported accidents. Costs: Price: 11k msrp from used dealership Besides the typical oil change/tire rotation, Timing belt (serpentine belt) replacement: $800 Spark plugs: $400 Battery change: $80 Tpms sensors replacement (all 4): Estimates - $500-$1000. Next on the list I knew when I bought it that it may need a little bit of love. I put about 10k miles on the vehicle since I bought it. It’s little issues here and there are popping up. The vehicle just need maintenance. It is hitting its 100k miles soon. Now would I buy this car again? chances are pretty high. Now am I gonna modify it to my liking? Whenever it stops having minor issues, then yeah. Temporarily I’ll keep it as it is until the vehicle stops giving me attitude.

Intakes,Catback,2 pieces rotors,BBK,rims/tires and modded headlights on mine so far...plan on getting the rest of my Amuse kit pieced together and installed at the end of the year. Really helpful tips for the fuel gauge and the csc. I'll keep them in mind as I drove
@Homeskillybiscit19974 жыл бұрын
Everyones gonna tell you different things but honestly after a ton of research, pay attention to your fuel pump, fuel starvation, oil consumption (newer models rarely have issues), car temps, and fuel cell top hat. Fuel pump - Fuel pumps are very commonly known to go out in these cars, highly recommend upgrading before you even start experiencing issues. Signs - cold/warm startups car idles super low immediately after startup and almost/sometimes dies, driving and losing power, sputtering (exhaust noise), no throttle response whatsoever, fuel gauge barely moves. Fuel starvation - The fuel tank is shaped like a horse sattle ( n - shaped ) and there is only 1 fuel pump (located on the passenger side). Half a tank or less of fuel on hard right turns, car looses all power due to fuel starvation because the fuel sloshes to the other side of the tank. Signs - driving and losing power, sputtering (exhaust noise), no throttle response whatsoever, powerloss on right turns Oil Consumption - Check your oil regularly, VQ's are known to burn oil (more so the VQ35) Signs - High oil temps High Oil Temps - The damn car runs hot. Why? Because of the tiny ass oil cooler nissan cut corners on. Get a larger oil cooler from Z1 Motorsports with internal temp gauge and send it. Your welcome. Signs - Pay attention to your oil temp Fuel Cell Top Hat - It is upon my most recent discovery that the fuel cell top hat in the 370 is also garbage. Mine is a 2014 that I have babied and abused (60k miles) and the top hat over time begins to warp. Signs - Fuel starvation, improper fuel gauge reading, faint gas smell in cab even when car is in motion. Not trying to scare anyone away or dissuade anyone from buying one because the platform is an experience like no other, however, these are the MAJOR issues that I have encountered in my 14 months of ownership. There are other smaller quirks and kinks im still working out with the car, but its part of its personality. -2014 Nissan 370z Sport (red)

@josemitchell-reyes35983 жыл бұрын
Any pros and cons with the base bro? Just got my Jetta totaled but lowkey wanna switch since I moved to Arizona 😂
@checwes10603 жыл бұрын
@@josemitchell-reyes3598 Honestly mostly just Pros, If anything id recommend the base and just upgrade the radio yourself to have carplay as the standard navigation system is so bad. Plus on the base you get an extra storage compartment where the navigation system would have been so its kind of a win win. As far as brakes and wheels are concerned I think it would be more beneficial to get the base and upgrade wheels and brakes on your own. I guess the only real con would be the front and rear bumper of the nismo but again you can upgrade to that yourself if you really want it. If you plan on getting it and upgrading the 370z the base model is wa better bargain for sure. (Also the horsepower differenence is negligable). Sorry to hear about your jetta! I think you would be pretty happy with the 370z its been an incredible car.

Anyone who is in the market for 350z/370z. 2007 - 2009 350z’s have failing oil gallery gaskets along with early model 370z’s and G37’s. I own a 2008 350z Nismo edition #1530. I’m the third owner bought it from my good friend for $20,000. Clean title, at the time in 2016 when I purchased, the dial read 36,000 miles. Now I have replaced the slave cylinder only once with this car and the car now is at 69,000 miles. Z1 Motorsports and ZSPEED make a kit where they move the location of the slave from the inside to the outside. I went with the ZSPEED line since I also replaced the whole clutch system with a ZSPEED clutch setup. I have a video on my channel showing the CMAK kit setup if anyone is curious. Just throwing out some helpful tips for anyone interested in the Z/G plateform or anyone who is any owner already. Been in the Z game for the last 10 years. Replaced my altima with 270k (sold it running) so I believe in Nissan engines lasting. First learned to drive on a '78 620 pickup that was still running at 300k, that's when I was sold on the brand. And my offroad/light tow vehicle is a 6 speed 4wd xterra with the VQ40. Hard to pass up a 2005 with 80k (in 2015) for $9k.

After owning a 350 and a 370 my recommendation is DON'T BUY ONE. Unless you want it as a weekend car or track car. As a daily driver this is NOT the right car to buy. MY 350 got a crack in the block and was burning all 5 quarts of oil in a day. I disguised the problem and dropped it off at CarMax and got the only 370z they had to replace it. The 370z has 56000 and always has something new every week that you need to work on. My 370 is in immaculate condition and I change the oil every 3000 miles with synthetic and now it has sludge in the engine which keeps killing the first coil and now I need to have it replaced; the engine that is. Before the Z's I had an EVO VII for 5 years and it was AMAZING and before that an Integra GSR which was also AMAZING.

Wow , if somebody else gets that “disguised” problem sold to them by car max you’re a scumbag. Sounds like you must be doing something to fuck your cars up or buying lemons/ already beat to shit cars

Dang I finessed myself lol, bought a 2010 with 102k miles for $7250, power steering was out, had a shitty uprev tune that made me get 14.2mpg, anyways, got a new power steering pump, got admintuned and now I’m getting 18.5 mpg, she’s running real good! I have to replace my clutch fluid literally once a week tho, it turns green/dark green after a week, it’s my daily btw

Maintain it realy good going forward and it will go 200,000 plus miles. My coworker has a 06 G35 205,000 miles on original engine and Trans. Don't believe the hype from guys that didn't do shit for maintenance and then turn around and say Nissan and Infiniti sucks and not reliable.

Fred Williams appreciate the advice man, I’m changing the oil every 4k and inspecting fluid levels on everything every fill up, no mechanical issues yet I hope it lasts me 100k more like that G35
