I Built a WITHER SKELETON Farm on Create Superflat Survival!

I was browsing the other day over on the Curseforge app for a modpack that pretty much just utilized the Create mod in the 1.20 update, all in a Superflat world environment on Minecraft.
Little to my knowledge no such thing actually existed…
So I took it upon myself to go ahead and Create(get it) my very own modpack for me to play around on.
Once again, I'm gonna tackle the Superflat world challenge!

Not a huge fan of the emi look, especially since just about every pack uses jei. When the recipes disappear, it's actually the entire create mod disappearing out of jei, but is easily fixed by reloading the pack or ignoring it, as you can still find the recipes by hitting u on something within the recipe

Nice pack to play so far. Couple fun bits in my run: 1. Surrounding my walls/paths with layers of sweet berry bushes is effective, they grow super fast. most mobs avoid them, slimes and spiders walk on them and die, and a single slab line blocking range vision prevents arrows. 2. Got lucky with a couple chicken riding zombies, now I got a chicken/egg farm (the initial chickens couldn't lay eggs, but the offspring could)

Nourishment is super cool. It keeps you from using saturation for anything other than restoring health. So you can mine, run, and jump all you want without using any hunger. Perfect for vein miner.

Try making the Sticky boots to be able to jump up 3-4 blocks while crouching, It helps with building and designing machines

To prevent light from the sides add layer of dirt in the circumference of the built and shovel it 😊

Nice job with the farm. I made mine with a sweep pushing the wither skellies into a drop shoot and killed by saws lol. Tried to use the create mod. Took some time to figure out. Also i made a tutorial on making the resources for gold, iron, copper, tuff and zinc if you want to check it out all automated and it gives quartz as well lol. My first ever tutorial and hopefully its helpful. If you get time with your busy schedule

I just found this series and immediately hopped in the modpack. One of my first nights, a two zombies dropped andesite alloy back to back. The following night, a baby zombie riding a chicken gave me a Jumpscare. 10/10!!

Something you might want yo look into is making a speed controller itll help control the speed and direction of a contraption without all the gears

I think using the grinding wheels to automate your wither farm would be very powerful. As a side function, you can enable and disable it if needed.

Placing a casing on a cog will block its shaft from connecting to another cog you place on it afterwards. Thos will allow you to make the gear ratios in a more compact space.

Hey Dan. When I saw the corners all I thought was to cover what they are use the andesite casing and link it all up. And you can look into tinted windows instead of block. And decorate them instead.

EMI is excellent. you can have two sections on the left: your bookmarks, plus a list that will autopopulate with everything you can currently craft. and even better you can set it so that when you click a craftable on the left, it crafts one instantly. it's amazing.

Nice work to fix your light levels try and place solid blocks around the edge at the bottom the path blocks are letting in light through create stuff.

Also place a slab on top of the spawner if you slow it back down. It will keep the mobs from spawning on top of it

You can use a deployed to kill mobs and it will drop experience pieces, just set it to attack mode and attach a funnel for the items

It would probably be more efficient to use torches to stop the spawner from spawning the wither skeletons than the key, you get the torches back but you don't get the key's durability back.

Just bought creative blaze cake tonight, i wonder how u gonna automate gold,iron, copper and zinc. My setup uses fans to pull dropped item on a belt and waterlogged leaves as water source for cobble generator is there a better way to get item than fans?

Been loving watching your play through and the mod. The latest update seems to crash for me regularly (every 5-10 minutes). I am unsure as to what is causing the crash as, I do not know how to read the crash-report. Is there any place I can upload the log for you to view?

i believe if you move the conveyors 2 blocks up then the wither skeletons should all be able to fall in the hole and not just wait on the conveyors. i think the reason only a few can be in the killing chamber at a time is that the ones on the conveyor are hitting the ones in the hole and being pushed back, but if you made the hole taller than the wither skeletons, i think they would just fall in no problem you could even make the killing chamber 1 block wide if you did that i think

If I were to take a guess at a few ideas from my time playing mc and running servers, make sure to check what Java version your using, check how much ram you have installed and that the correct mod loader/version is installed. Iirc, 1.20 needs Java 17. For ram, I personally have it set to 4gig min 8gig max but I also have a beefy system with 32gig ddr5 so your mileage may vary. Mod loader/version honestly depends on how Dan did the pack. If he only designed it for Forge then the recommended version should be fine.

@@Peace7904 i have already tried updating java but i have no idea if it actualy worked or not, i have the settings set to 10gig, i'am currently using forge and if by "Java 17." you mean 40.2.17 then yes its on the mod profile aswell, though, i may try another modloader if its on things like ftb. edit: but thank you anyway, and if it helps, it is definetly create causing this since i tested it on 1.19.2 and 1.20.1

@@deezy1911 so Java itself has different versions separate from minecraft and mods. Depending on what launcher you are using, you can specifically set what version of Java to use for your instance. Java 17 =/ 40.2.17. That sounds like what version forge is on.

@@Peace7904yeah, i just found out about that, though the mod pack is automaticaly set to 40.2.17 and i did seperatley install java 17 and then lead the path to "javaw". and one more thing, is 47.2.17. = Java 17. aswell? because i just noticed that 1.20.1 and such are locked to the 47.2.... version. edit: another thing, it was definitley caused by the forge loader because i just tried running vanilla (inside of forge) and only vanilla worked.

@@deezy1911 Java 17 is the version of Java needed to install. The 40.2.17 number is the version forge is on which is not the same thing as Java. Setting your minecraft to Java 17 and updating your forge version to the 47.#.# should resolve the issue. A tldr of the differences between the 2 is Java is what Minecraft is coded in and needs the new versions of Java to even launch the base game. Forge is the mod loader which interacts with the base game plus whatever mods you install to get them to work together and make the changes the mods are trying to accomplish. One other thing I can recommend to see if it helps is doing a clean install of the pack and set your instance to Java 17 before you launch it and see if thay fixes it.

Sorry Dan this doesn't pertain to this vid but has anyone else been having blue screen issues on stoneblock 3 for ps4? I hope it's not just to much for my system lol just had a baby and can't afford a new one lol.

Hey, Yes we are aware about this issue on sb3, this seems to be affecting PS4/5 and Nintendo switch when it automatically saves the game… We have been working really hard to sort it, we have been drastically reducing our code to make it preform better as we are under the impression that theses consoles can’t hold a lot of code all at once which seems to be causing these crashes. (In other words, these consoles aren’t as optimized sadly) We have also discovered that if you have a realm spare or available, you can actually play it on there weirdly… This is a temporary “fix” for now. Hope that explains/helps the situation
