I bought a running buggy for my first (20 years ago) and they were a bit harder to find. I ended up getting one imported from America, and when I no longer needed it I sold it again for almost the same as I paid for it. One thing I did add was a little bike bell so that when I was running around the park, I could make myself be known without mowing anyone down 😀 Glad to see you’re feeling better and back out on some runs as well.

A bike bell is a great idea! Perhaps I could also find a novelty horn! Haha

I love my nipper sport and the little one does, too. You’re gonna have a lotta fun! The hood on ours doesn’t make that noise, so worth checking that out. Also, ours is great over the paths you called out as being not great, so also worth looking at the suspension, too! One thing which caught me out was the little clip to tighten / loosen that front brake, so keep an eye out for that!

Thanks for that info, I’ll definitely check both elements out which I said were an issue. Perhaps Out n About will see the video and get in touch. The person I bought it off had barely used it as their child hated it, so perhaps it had just been sat for a while. I’ve already made adjustments to the front brake as it was a little loose!

Hi Dan, I have the same buggy. My hood cover doesn't make that ratchet sound, so I don't think yours should! Maybe check the bolts on the side and if they are too tight? On the subject of those bolts, keep an eye on them. One unscrewed itself and I lost the whole thing down a drain! Did not make for a pleasant walk home! Easy enough to fix with a washer and nut though. You could also spray a bit of wd40 on the bolts by the hood and see if that quietens it down. Take the little one out first though, eh 😉

You’re the second person to say that the hood on yours doesn’t make that noise, so I’m glad I put the video together for that alone! I’ll also keep an eye on bolts as well!

Great first impressions mate! The buggy looks great, certainly suits you! I think those little bits on the wheels are sprue from the molding process mate. I could be wrong though. Love that soft bottle too could you make a review of that? Great brand I have heard 😉

I borrowed one of these to try very briefly today but couldn't get on with the steering. I'm wondering if I'm missing something, do you literally have to lift the front off the ground to do any steering? Thanks for the honesty review and it was nice to hear about a review being done in a second hand product and not using that everything is being bought new.
@DanRuns8 ай бұрын
Yep! The steering definitely isn’t straight forward. It’s essentially designed to move like an arrow, so takes a lot of getting used to! I actually no longer own one as my little one didn’t favour it all that much and I found it awkward to run with most of the time - especially as my local roads are more windy than straight!

Good to hear you're recovering well Dan and nice new wheels there! We've got a pretty competitive buggy running parkrun scene down here and I've even heard little ones egging on their parents to 'overtake that one' and pointing to another buggy!
@DanRuns2 жыл бұрын
Haha! That’s brilliant! I’ll have to do some park run tourism. I definitely think a flatter, smoother course would help a lot

@@DanRuns If you're down this way then Hove Prom Parkrun is the best one for buggies out of the 5 we have locally. And worth getting the little ones psyched up before so they are ready to heckle the other buggy runners 😅
