Thank you so much for posting excerpts from this! Been looking all over for it. Had the privilege of seeing Kani and Ntshona (then much older) perform in a revival of the work at London's National Theater in 2007. A great experience.

thanks god i went to school, maths was nice, english was nice, biology was nice,science was nice,but there is nothing that makes remember school, than doing plays, like sizwe banzi, sophiatown, saturday night at the palace, you name them the island....thanks for the good school days. coz this is what i'm doing in germany,doing plays with refugees, inspired by the greats,our grandfathers and fathers&mothers of south africa.love this country. how can i forget, bushman&lena, master harold&the boys.

You're correct, of course. These are just excerpts. My hope is that Bravo or whoever owns the rights will see that people are interested and release the whole thing on DVD. In the meantime, all I can provide are these excerpts. Sorry.

I love the fact that Sizwe not only tells the entire story of his crime in his 'letter', but also signs it off 'Sizwe Bansi'. I think poor Sizwe and Buntu are going to get caught
