What is the Transport Layer and TCP? - Part 2

In Part 2, I focus on the three-way handshake and the process of transmission and retransmission of data through the use of sequence numbers, acknowledgements, and retransmission timers. I also discuss the role of selective acknowledgements and how they improve efficiency and waste less bandwidth. The TCP header fields and flags are also covered as well as the role of the transport and other layers in the TCP/IP Internet suite.
