People need to research the job descriptions and use their relevant experience and briefly describe them in their resume. If people are not putting in the effort into their resume, they clearly don’t deserve the job they are applying for. I know some people may not be aware but for the one who do know. I went from a medical assistant, to specializing in patients recruitment and now about to start working in regulatory affairs. I did my research applied my experience in my resume and got my dream job.

I lecture Health and social care at a university here in the UK, can I transition into a clinical research associate role and at what level please?

The Clinical Trials Regulations require that staff working in clinical trials must be qualified by education (nursing or any university diploma), training (on GCP), and experience (in clinical trials activities). As companies don't take interns (everything in new drug development is top confidential), this prior experience requirement prevents a lot of highly educated professionals from entering in the field. To break this vicious circle, CRA School Montreal added 3 remote monitoring internships in its Post Graduate Certification Program.
