Hey Dan Quick question do you turn on sprinklers systems for spring for your customers? If not what do you tell people when they ask you to. I feel I'm leaving a lot of money on the table if I say no but I always seem to find myself struggling to find valves and successfully turning the irrigation on.

Dan, I notice you have the guard removed from your trimmer. I see that a lot of landscape people remove the guard. Doesn't debris fly up at you more?
@DansVlog7 жыл бұрын
+Pete Ciallella Nah. Those guards are only there to hold a razor to keep the line too short so the manufacturers can keep their gears and clutch lasting longer / warranty. Shields don't do much else

@DansVlog7 жыл бұрын
flockaflocka20 I can understand that. Ever edge along he fence? Very minor detail that is awesome for appearance and saving line.
@outerspaceslandscapellc7 жыл бұрын
if its a real long fence line the base gets some glyphosate sprayed on it. 1-2 inches max. still have to weedeat along it but we dont eat up so much string getting in between each link to make it look clean.

great video dan. i have a quick question for you concerning edgers if you don't mind. I've never used a dedicated edger, so I am wondering if an edger still runs the same risk of throwing rocks and thus breaking windows etc? Thanks as always, mower 68.
@KylesLawnCare7 жыл бұрын

Dan, I watch a lot of vids to try to learn new ways to improve my weadeater skills and in all fairness, there's not many on here who can match your work with the eater. Thanks for all the uploads, very helpful, I've learnt loads from your vids. Only thing I haven't found an answer for is how to deal with the patchy, wafer thin grassed lawns that I've been plagued with this year where, even using .80 thou line, the air being moved by the string bends the feeble grass over before the string can cut it. Seemingly my only options are to cut it either really low or try a thinner line, which then gives me a pain when edging. Any thoughts? Cheers
@DansVlog7 жыл бұрын
+ft goggi Dude, ya win some, ya lose some. There will always be slow downs but what Ibused to do is keep a spare spool lined up with .065 for crazy stuff. If ya got a yard or 3 you know ya got to mess with thin weak grass, throw the spare spool on then out the .080 back on to edge or edge first... however you do it
@strongarmlandscaping2577 жыл бұрын
Why do you take off the guard? If u already have a video explaining please link it thanks
