Because he can summon swords that he fires like a gun and can use as a shield stop time swing his sword once and habe it open tons of interdimentional cuts on the same target or cut him a gateway between any 2 points so he could stop time murder tond if demons in a instant and only ppl like dante would know what happen if he walks through and stars time

so many parts to gush about in this but i will focus on this 1. when they push their swords throw and the still touch as they pass through to then flourish to then using each others swords man Vergil with a stinger using rebellion fucking scary shit. also i like this boss fight it works in themes The dude is a faceless blob monster. and i think that fight works on another lvl using lady's weapon for the phases with the worms is like she is helping you in the fight as well. like its not perfect but narratively its SHAKESPEAREAN.

You what I find interesting about the Jackpot part is the guns. Vergil gets Ebony which is the gun that is more for precision which Vergil how fights. While Dante gets Ivory which the gun was for rapid fire which is Dante's preferred style of fighting

In DMC 3 when fighting a certain boss, Vergil and Dante team up for the fight and says “I’ll try it your way for once.” And they each use one of Dante’s pistols to end the boss and both say “Jackpot” and I’m taking it that Vergil enjoyed it, showing his more “human” side, expressing his joy in battle.

A shame just the switch as Freestyle switch. But hey, we live in a age of emulating games.. so..DMC3 is way more fun with all the styles and weapons in one go. I would say since the style switch DMC3 and.5 are almost equals in terms of gameplay. DMC4 Dante has just 3 weapons.
