Actually, there's a really good theory that explain this really well, and it does make a lot of sense on why Vergil's and Dante's sin devil trigger mode had an opposite fighting style from each other. so basically, Dante's move set in his sin devil trigger looks a lot more "Wild" Or like a "Boss Attack" as you mentioned, compared to Vergil's more "Precise" and "Technique Oriented" Move set. First, This may come from their own respective personality, while Dante is more "Rebellious" and "Laidback", Vergil on the other hand is more " Strict" and "Orderly". Second, it may have been caused by their different approach to their demonic power and heritage, as we all know, Dante embrace his "Humanity" more than his "Demonic" side, while Vergil completely embrace his "Demonic" heritage with little care of his "Human" side, this caused a significant difference in their fighting style when they transform into their full demonic form (Sin Devil trigger) Dante is more "Wild" because he cannot maintain a full control of his demonic side while in SDT form because he did not fully embrace his demonic heritage, while Vergil who is more familiar and in control of his demonic power, mainly use his SDT form to enhance his already polished fighting technique to become more stronger (that's why we can still use Vergil's other weapon while in his SDT form unlike Dante). And lastly, it may have simply caused by the Dev did not have enough time to design a seperate move set for Vergil's SDT 🤣🤣.

Interestingly, Judgment is the least efficient way to do damage with Dante's SDT. His regular melee SDT combo does massive damage, and if you repeat it by going in and out of SDT with quad S, it can eat up even boss health bars in a few repetitions. He also has his lock on+back+melee move (ground slam), which instantly interrupts and stuns all non-boss enemies. Paired with quad S, this gives you a free combo on pretty much any enemy in the game, even some bosses. There's also Demolition, which insta-kills any non-boss enemy. Dante's biggest strength overall is his versatility. Remember: Dante is the twin that embraces humanity. Humans are clever and adaptable. It's why he's the Legendary Devil Hunter. Taking him on means taking on all of his different powers, skills and abilities, along with his huge arsenal of weapons. He lacks in raw damage output in most situations, but makes up for it by being all over the battlefield, attacking and defending. On the other hand, Vergil is the twin that embraces his demon side. All of his attacks are amped by his concentration, which focuses his demonic energy. Rather than being good at using many weapons, he focuses on a few, and does enormous damage with them. His moveset emphasizes this too: all his back-forward moves shatter enemy guards, his divekicks and transformations crack the ground with sheer power and Yamato hits so hard, it bounces the enemy up even with a downward slam. In addition, he has his 3 supers and his judgement cut chains, which do absurd damage. Unlike Dante, however, he has less versatile defensive and mobility options. A limited guard and his Trick Actions, which require precision. TLDR: Dante adapts and runs circles around his enemies, outmaneuvering them. Vergil crushes and slices through them with overwhelming power before they can touch him. Both approaches work, just depends which one you prefer.

Being a Angel/Demon the gameplay of Dante and Vergil in the DmC sequels would be epic. Having Sin Devil Trigger and a Sin Angel Trigger would make DmC Devil and Vergil powerful beyond imagination. People who saying Dante's SDT weak... Dude, he needs SSS to SSSS, he has weak Judgement, but: 1. Demolition has less AoE than HoE but delivers more damage and can one hit every single enemy on DMD (except bosses), also it deployable from any distance you can aim meanwhile HoE requires close distance. 2. Luce. A "haha wroom wroom" handmade minigun. 3. Sin Stinger. Destroys Urizen's shield faster than Deep Stinger. Thus it stronger than Vergil's ultimate attack. 4. Sin Combo. Easy abuse if you have SSSS. 5. Sin Inferno (nobody mentions it :c). Stuns every enemy (bosses, except Vergil, requires 2-3 hits) Now please answer a question: who has Royal Guard and Red Hot Night :D

But even then you can eat up massive damage if you can utilizes many of Dante's moveset combined. Even then in certain situation Dante's SDT can be more punishing, for ex: Dante's SDT Demolition can insta kill any non bosses enemies, while Vergil strongest SDT move Hell on Earth need to takes 2-3 hit against enemies like Behemoth, Queen Empusa, or Proto Angelo in DMD difficulty.

The way they both use their SDT forms seems to be kinda different Because for one Dante's SDT was unlocked very recently meaning, he cant access any of his other weapons, nor his styles and now has to rely on his SDT's abilities to fight because when he fights all you hear are grunts and roars when he does a big attack especially when he punches the ground and does the Judgement attack meaning that since he activated it the first time he cant really get a good grasp at it and wille exhaust him after using it since it only has a limited amount of time before turning back and a while to go back in that form again While Vergil on the other hand seems to have fully mastered it, able to acess his other weapons, even make himself faster than before and its like the SDT was already activated the moment Urizen and V got fused along with the power of the Blood Fruit that Urizen ate which helped him a lot and seeing how Vergil fights since you can already hear him talking while in that form suggests that he has already grasp the full potential of his SDT form and can confidently use it back and forth whenever he wants to, plus it has a longer duration than Dante and it doesnt exhaust Vergil when using it

Actually every move of sdt Dante is ultimate but this KZbinr made a stupid mistake and considered judgement only. So in terms of variety Vergil has only 3 or 4 (world of v included) ultimate moves. In which one of them hell on earth is non-canon because Vergil doesn't have Beowulf anymore. Whereas sdt Dante has around 10 moves (all ultimate) in sdt so Dante has more variety.

So in this animation you see the vergil is stab him self using yamato but v and his monster show up. The 3 monster is part of vergil and part of devil side

Thats vergils concentration, its a meter he needs to do the ultimate moves, it also lets him do more stuff sith his weapons, like longer yamato range, more hits with mirage edge, and another charge stage with beowulf
