When persons that we look up to do things that stumble others we need to try to restore them and to pray for them earnestly that God will help them to overcome. Being popular does not mean persons cannot fail or falter . Peter in weakness cussed and swore. But he was restored and accomplished much for the Lord. I love that 2 Timothy 2 scripture🥺 I also think this is the right decision from Mav City. We love Dante. If you've followed him over the last year though, you'll see that he has beeeeenn pushing the envelope against biblical standards. They actually showed him grace for over an entire year. This pausing of their relationship is good because it is time for him to take accountability and just introspect. Holding someone accountable is part of loving them. And showing someone grace does not mean turning a blind eye to them practicing sinful behaviour. I wish Dante the best and can't wait for his comeback🙏❤

I think this is the only time I have ever said this on KZbin, but I wish there was a way that I could LOVE this video!! The way you explain this and give your opinion is exactly what our culture needs. There are ways to handle situations with love and compassion, while still holding Christians accountable for their actions. Accountability and condemnation are two completely different things that I do not think most people understand. You killed this!! Thank you for what you do!!

The accountability IS the grace. The word of the Lord says he "chastens whom He loves". They're calling "being sat down" harsh judgment? I wonder what they think about this "cancel culture" then? I truly believe this is something we need to get back to..if not operating in holiness and you are in ministry or any type of ministry leader, you should be sat down for awhile. Take some time to re-evaluate and seek the Lord's face about what happened and how to move forward in Christ Jesus. Study the word in that time, you'll come back better than ever. I truly appreciate any time I was rebuked by my leader or peers. It showed me that they weren't concerned about "what I felt" over my walk. Correction in the body is needed AND necessary. The issue today is, everyone gets offended by the smallest things and no one wants to be held accountable for going about things the wrong way. Grace doesn't negate consequences and to be honest-this isn't the 1st time Brother Dante has done something..it's just the first time we know of consequences being put into place. We don't know much besides what they put out here-He could have already been warned previously more than once-but the issue is, if someone doesn't see fault-they'll continue to do something and continue operating in ministry and that's just not good..because then-people see that "luke-warmness" and think it's OK to be apart of Kingdom ministry and do and say what you want..and it's not. We aren't to look like the world, that's another issue nowadays. I personally wish he would have received the previous warnings and cooled down-but because he didn't, here we are. I understand all that has transpired and am praying for Dante to seek understanding from the Lord and study the word and let the Lord reveal to him why he was wrong and prayerfully-he'll come back stronger in the Lord and when he ministers, it'll be more than just lyrics and filled with the Holy Spirit.

The question for me is, why aren’t they all being punished on some level, the leaders of the church had the party, played the music , it’s their bus but only one person is persecuted 🤦🏽‍♂️ there’s more to this, soon to be revealed , if We can’t hold all to a higher standard alone with ourselves first we shouldn’t hold any to a higher standard! They are leaders of the flock & introduced the music but that’s not talked about, finger pointing on one person . Just because he posted a video dancing to bad bunny shouldn’t make him the sole sinner in this situation. I’m sure there’s many Christian leaders and worship leaders who listen to secular music in private & don’t post about it. You should touch on the pastors who allowed such sinful music to be played. I think this issue runs deeper than Dante enjoying his life to secular music at a pastors wife’s birthday party.

I so agree with what Mav City has done. I know Dante is a gifted singer however he is under attack from the enemy and I encourage everyone to lift Dante in prayer. The grace I want to share is that we remember Dante’s fast rise to fame and his age. No excuse for what he did but hopefully a sincere man of God will reach out to him and show him the error of his ways🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

This isn't judgement at all. As Christians, we are to live by the word of God. The Bible says in Matthew 17:15-20 that we are known by the fruit that we produce (fruit of the Spirit, Gal.5:22, 23). We can't produce apples if we're an orange tree, right? We can't produce salt water and fresh water from the same spring either (James 3:11). We need to be a light in the darkness. When people get mixed messages from us, Christ's ambassadors, they don't credit us with the mistake. Instead, they say that Jesus, church, the Bible, and "religion" contradicts itself and they want no part of it. Though, we know, that the problem is the flesh and not Christ. The world is very unforgiving when Christians make mistakes. They build you up and tear you down in an instant! Especially when you are seen as a public figure. One thing that non-Christians expect is truth. If we say we serve God and then live like we don't know Him; or, associate with false teachings and sinful actions, we nullify our testimony. They call us out and say we're dishonest and liars about our faith and about Jesus, so HE'S a liar too! This is why we must live the word of God, each and everyday with the help of the Holy Spirit. We have to live it not just inside of church, but when we're out in the world. We know that Chrstians aren't perfect, we're just forgiven. The world sees something else altogether! Unfortunately, we have to recognize when another Christian is losing their way. We need to do it in love, but we must deal with it according to the word of God. This will show the world that we're set apart. Romans 12:2 tells us to not be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds, so that we can prove what's good, acceptable, and the perfect will of God. When we know that something is wrong, and do it anyway, like mislead others, that is sin (James 4:17). Just want to point something out … There is a difference between being a lover of pleasure INSTEAD of lovers with God, and someone who loves having fun. Those two things are not opposing, and too many times judgement is too harsh in people who are just enjoying themselves AND they love God. We have to reign in the armchair cancel culture. If we think someone isn’t acting how they should, we should use that to be introspective about whether there is anything WE are doing like that. Not being wise in a moment isn’t the same as saying someone is a lover of pleasure INSTEAD of God.

They extended grace recently when he was interviewed on live tv during the Grammys I believe and he said he wanted to listen to and watch lil nas x perform. Lil nas x is a bi sexual artist who performs gay sexual acts in his videos and live performances. His music is very sexual and horrible. Christian leaders need to be held accountable for their actions. As a Pastor, I recognize how powerful influence can be. What I teach or preach can lead someone to heaven or hell. In order to sing a Bad Bunny song or be excited to see Lil Nas X, you have to listen to their music enough to know the lyrics or know of them, which he has said he listens to Bad Bunny on IG. So then the questions comes, what is he filling his spirit with? You cant fill yourself with worldly things and then pour from a place of holiness. It's always been either or with God.
