Kiryu actually considers that he may not be in his prime anymore, and tries to work on his body in a physical aspect. I love Yakuza.

I love the attention to detail in these games it's so cheeky and fun but for real though kiryu's only squatting/benching/deadlifting 135 then he goes and hits what looks like 200+ at least on seated rows???

So let me get this straight... Kiryu can full stack seated rows and most likely lat pull downs, but makes you struggle with squats and deadlifts with 135s... ok game

For deadlift and squat it could be his many years of brawling taking a toll on his spine edit: for the squat he is doing full rom which can be dangerous to lift heavy like ass to grass rom

I have witnessed Kiryu casually throw grown men like rag dolls, freely swing motorcycles around, and punch dudes in the chest so hard they wind up across the street. You cannot tell me that two wheels is a challenging working weight on for him on bench. However I’m not at all surprised his deadlift form is absolutely textbook-perfect
