Things to note : -Cars react differently when trying to move traffic, a gt86 can do it with no trouble, but some other cars wont do it as smoothly. -When you push traffic to make the opponent crash, note what car they are driving, a lambo is least likely to avoid the crash, but a very maneuverable car (rx7) or a small car will easily dodge -do not try to use traffic to make others crash if they are too close or too far -dont use traffic until you are totally sure it will benefit, unless its a last resort to pull away from the opponent. -the pajero and hiace are both the most effective to make opponents crash -if you drive a 6 speed and are trying to use a pajero to make others crash on a long straight, shift to 5th gear if you are in 6th, it works really great for me And finally..... -ya need guts, its an all or nothin technique

Yeah those are valid points indeed, particularly the last one: Needing guts. Its a gamble that isn't really used in serious 2v2 or FFA racing. However if it is to be used then yeah they would need to be a medium distance. Mind you, even when the car gets back into position, it sways a little before settling on its fixed route.

Its best used on trucks due to their size or to bump cars that are next to walls to narrow to pass normally.

I have been known to not use traffic as weapons but I have gaped the traffic cars as an advantage. I recommend to that as well. Be aware that it's easy as it seems, it's still hard to master.

After playing enough, you will know the lines traffic takes, they never deviate unless something hits them. During races against rivals the traffic is random generated so it all depends: when, where and what it spawns. My advice is remember the lines traffic takes, Nagoya is a good example, some turns the traffic doesn’t follow its lane and comes out wide.

Lightly pull off on the gas for a bit then full gas again so you get more grip on your turn when you're trying to dodge the traffic. This always helps me every single time whenever I dodge those traffic.

did you know that you can use traffic to avoid crashes too? when i drift with my corvette, i tend to crash because of my low handling, so one thing that i would do is to purposely crash into the traffic to give me a little boost away from the barriers

Question for bumping traffic in a straightaway: Let's say for example, a Corolla is on your right, do you turn your wheel to the opposite direction so that you hit its middle part with your bumper or is it the other way around? I find that whenever I try to bump something on a straightaway with the same direction, I always miss. It might be my timing, but I still want someone's input on this. Thank you.

Hmmm, well as shown there are various ways of bumping the cars. I usually aim the front corner of my car (AE86 is good because its angular) at the taillights of the NPC car I'm wanting to bump. More often than not I may lose speed but its enough of a distraction to throw others behind off. There is a bit of timing towards it since you have to know the vehicle's path and anticipate where it will be a second or so ahead

Well i mean it's not exactly bumping the opponent But the usage of bumping traffic to force your opponent into bumping the innocent car that seemingly has nothing to do with the race The concept here is bumping in this case, you're indirectly bumping the opponent But if you want to know what "cool vibrations" meant, it's a well known lyric from a song called "Vicky Vale - Dancing", popular to Initial D fans, the song is usually paired with a character there named "Shingo Shoji" who is popular for bumping oppenents By the "wrong game" part I can't really explain it

Good Question. Taiwan's roads are narrow than most of the courses in the game so using traffic there would be more paramount. As for the S30, I have only driven it a few times but its size profile is very similar to the AE86 with the exception of a slightly curved body. Handling is broadly similar too, I felt a little at home when racing it.

Tip I can share is think of what the rival in front of you is planning to do. Also depends on your cars for that to happen, light cars can be easily pushed into kill speed areas

That's why it's a risk to use traffic. Only for calculated strategy. Walls should be avoided unless it's part of getting round a corner.

Quick question Dante, the gauges you win from completing story mode, are you able to keep doing story mode as much as you want to get them? I messed up a race in my first run through so didnt complete it undefeated.. And i wanna get the blue race gauge eventually.

If you mess up the story you have to finish it first, then restart again to unlock the meters. It requires a 60 win streak from race 1-60 to unlock. Yellow, then red, then blue and then carbon

Joshua Banks Yes. You are able to keep doing story mode if you want the meters. But on one condition,you can't lose a single chapter. If you lose a single chapter,you will have to restart from the very 1st story again in another loop. 1 loop = 60 stories.

Well, so is wheel slamming drivers into a wall but people do. Also there is a high chance of failure so risk/reward. I am a clean time driver as I cannot brake block, but I know if I treat the game as a simulator racer I will likely lose as many would not play the game as such.
