Me and my husband just moved down the Huntsville Al, there are thousands of Lilly pads in the ponds and lakes out here. You would have to wash them off just in case if there is any icky nasties hiding in them.

Those baby turtles are gorgeous. Rufus was about that size when I almost stepped on him. Water changes suck. But turtles thrive in clean water. You must get some good exercise carrying buckets of water without spilling it. Probably should buy a back brace before you hurt yourself.

in my experience with tortoises (ik it's not the same but still works) you can use moist paper towel to prevent their yolk sack from sticking and keep them hydrated

Hi, my greek turtle just laid 11 eggs and i'm incubating them, what do I do if they hatch (i don't think they will because it's the first time and the incubator i built is really spartan) but anyway, should i keep them in the incubator with vermiculite for 2 days or should i remove them the second they start to hatch and put put them in the incubator with a moist paper towel?

So if the eggs hatched the same day they were laid... Does that mean they could had tried to hatch within of they were never laid? Quite a scary thought. So glad the vet trip helped. Congrats on the beautiful hatchlings!

These are 2 separate clutches of eggs- the first ones incubated 50 days- I think he said, and just happened to hatch when more eggs were layed!!
