After patch 1.04.2, the Ranger is straight beast mode. It's become my main with abilities that let me restore my shields, heals my health, primes and detonates targets, and still pumps out good damage with guns on Grandmaster 2 difficulty.

Colossus is my type of Javelin. I love to charge in, tank, and explode everything. I have all my components set to extra high armor/shields and increased damage for the blast attacks. But I play colossus like how you play intercepter. I charge in and shield bash and melee, along with missiles and arm cannons. It's so much fun, my health almost never drops under 95% even when I charge in

Im honestly going to have to try them all to which javelin I like. As cool as Storm and Interceptor are they may be out of my skill range. I do like explosions so Colossus looks good. But I also like versatility so ranger is good there. Man I wish the choice was easier. I really look forward to the game. Keep up the great content!!

That's the nice thing about Anthem, u can just go ahead and choose ANY of them and build it up to a pure fun generator. My Colossus is mostly equipped with masterwork stuff and 2 legendaries by now and its ulti deals up to 300 000 damage per shot. I hardly play any of the other 3 right now simply coz I've had the most luck in terms of items with the Colossus so far.

I think a balanced squad of all 4 will be the best, if you come up against an enemy that is designed to withstand a certain javelin you will be screwed if you have 3 or 4 of them which I fully expect the game to implement at the end game and harder stages.

@@rodfig3708 I mean yes. But I think he just meant resonance vibe. He said the hunter resonated with him the same way the storm does. And tbh I feel that lol. I was a hunter main in destiny, but I did like warlocks, they were just made lame storywise if you ask me. All three classes were cliché personalities. The titan, the big brutish guy, all brawn but no brains. The hunter, the dashing rogue with funny quips, pretty much the reason why they were the most popular for a long time. And warlocks... basically the nerds. Their coolness was toned down by the "warlock personality". The javelins dont have that issue, since you can pilot all of them with the same character. The storm feels rough, it feels badass, its constantly using his abilities whereas the warlock... threw a grenade and sassily slapped someone and thats about it for the next 2 minutes. Interceptor also looks badass tbh. The mobility looks insane.

I'm pretty sure I'll go with Colossus first. I totally need to be the biggest, bulkiest, toughest, tauntiest, explodiest guy around to really feel fulfilled. Ranger sounds promising too, so maybe I'll change my opinion once the Demo goes live, but until then: come at me, bro 😎

Look I think once you go Colossus it will probably be hard to go back to less explosive skills

@@Dantics it might take some time to accustom to other Javelins and their lack of fireworks, but as I'm the biggest Mass Effect fan I personally know, there's no way I'm not going to have an N7-style Ranger as soon as possible. And the Ranger still has rockets. It's explosions might not be as big, but there's more of them and sometimes in life, like when you really crave that 40 pcs box of chicken nuggets, quantity comes before quality.

Going into the full game, here’s my plan: Ranger first, it’s the jack-of-all-trades, Master-of-none class, and I’ll be using it early to get a proper feel for the gameplay. Colossus second, I have a bad tendency of just jumping into the middle of the fray, the Colossus seems built for that kind of play. Interceptor third, by this point in the game I’ll probably be looking for something different to the Colossus, and what’s more different to the tank class than the speedy class? Finally, the Storm. Like I said before, I have a bad tendency of jumping into the middle of the fray, so that play style coupled with the glass cannon is a big no-no, I’d be more of a hindrance than helpful. I’ll still give it a good chance and test it out, but I don’t see myself going to the Storm that often outside of some casual free play.

That's literally where I've been stuck for the past week. I'm leaning towards Interceptor, then unlocking Ranger > Storm > Colossus, and maining Storm in the end-game. Based on the way the javelins are designed, it seems like that'll be the safest way to learn to play, then really start building.

The Wanderer You don't have to play Colossus as a Tank. He will always have a physical shield but Taunt is optional. He has damaging AoE AND single target abilities. Apparently one of the latter is a single shot railgun! So Ranger isn't the only one with high damage skillshots. 💪🏀)💪 [🥇 ] 🚅 🚅

@@romdog1818 He may not be the archetype of a Tank, but my definition is, Has a mass HP pool, and low Mobility. I normally don't play a Tank for Damage dealing, nor would that be my intent as a Ranger. My goal as a Ranger would be to push the Bulwark Point to its max and shield my friendlies as much as possible

Because they don't realize yet how awesome the ultimate is. Played the demo and even with a team the game is pretty hard (only tried normal mode). interceptor ultimate heals you and makes you invincible which is great for resurrecting teammates.
