Their design team on those suites did great. They didn't steer too far into the minimalist Scandinavian type design but they completely avoided the tacky gold and glossy wood of the middle eastern airlines. They seem to have threaded the needle quite well with that styling. It's a clean design that I think will hold up for quite a few years.

@@chrisw3711, I know it means Saturday because in Portuguese it appeared as "Sáb", which is a common abbreviation for "sábado", "Saturday". Or at least that's what the machine translated. "Complete" was the adjective, as in "a complete revision", but later it occurred to me that Dan must have titled the video as a note to self saying something like "finish revising the video, check the audio volume and post it on Saturday". Then he must have accidentally published it before schedule. But once I learned what the video was about, it was a great video, and I saw nothing wrong with it (even the audio was perfectly fine). Now he just has to edit the title to be more meaningful.

Hey Dan, first off what a great cabin! Your video really made it so enjoyable. Been stoked to see this for ages now. To answer your question of why it seemed off to you at first: It is best to keep in mind as well that Allegris was supposed to debut in the 777-9 in 2020 and is a bespoke design for that aircraft type, so I would venture to guess that when you see it installed on the B779, it will seem more integrated than on the A350. Maybe the A350-1000 will also differ. But nonetheless I’m happy to see that it has finally made its way on board, 777-9 or not! Keep on rocking!!

That is such a beautiful cabin, so classy the colours and textures they used! I just flew LH A340-600 economy (wohoo!) from HKG to FRA roundtrip and I had a respectable experience all round. The seat looks tired but the entertainment worked well, there was a lot of choice, the seat reclined surprisingly far and the meals were excellent. The only thing is the crew were efficient and professional, but not very engaging. That said, I learnt from my time in Germany on that trip, that's mostly how Germans are. Allegris has rightfully been one of those bult of jokes thing for a long time, but it looks to be worth the wait. I really hope LH continues to improve their offerings and become an airline people will gladly fly, or even want to fly and not just for their exotic fleet of aircraft 😉😊 Bottom line, its time to take Lufthansa more seriously people.

I haven't flown Lufthansa since 1989, but what is interestingly consistent about Lufthansa is that they absolutely won't allow a customer to become dehydrated. I was in economy seating at the time, so this is over 30 years ago and the least expensive seating, but I remember the beverage service being constant (fruit juices being offered in abundance.) I think that Lufthansa crews are trained to go the extra step in caring for their passengers' health and well-being.

I flew Allegris in Business Class from Mumbai to Munich on the 28th January. The flight took off about 40 minutes late just after 2am but the crew were great. One crew member said she liked the new Allegris business class as there were fewer passengers to serve.

25:54 Lufthansa has this weird thing that when you book a flight outbound from a destination they will charge you in that country's currency, which maybe other airlines do too but they are the first one i saw them doing this. I see you had a stopover in Sofia (with the quite early flight too, my condolences, my home country's biggest airport isn’t exactly suited with the nicest interior and the lounge isn't by far what you would get at a regular lounge in bigger airports, but if a project gets accepted there are proposals for a newer better terminal. Terminal 2 got some renewing last year when we got in Air/Sea Schengen. By the way we have daily three pairs of flights between Munich and Sofia, they often are full, even in the morning hours), if it was just a stopover for a flight, my condolences, but if it was for a longer visit, I hope you enjoyed your time. There is not a small amount of things to enjoy, despite it not being the "traditional" European experience.

Great review: my jealousy is morphing into motivation to try this cabin. Rumors abound that when United Airlines takes delivery of the B789 IGW (increased gross weight) aircraft mid/later this year, it will feature a small cabin with Polaris 2.0. The carrier was surveying frequent flyers last year and it really seemed that they were hinting towards a Lufthansa-type first class. Time will tell.
