Terri your name suits you perfectly! I've been looking up people's names and yours Terri means "Reaper of the harvest" So true and facinating how our given names have so much relevance as to whom we are and what we do. Magical. 🕊️💚🧚🍀

I enjoyed it ,Terri, thank you. It reminded me of my husband coppicing and chopping our trees through the years. Like you he said that it was thrice warming. Now he has gone the trees are growing skywards. We planted them all as little saplings...all except two old oaks and a few hawthorns...over 40 yrs ago. Perhaps wear some goggles when pruning. Eyes are so precious.

Such a beautiful video; re-energizing the trees, clearing the way for new growth; very positive. Mother Earth is so completely amazing. I love the idea of digging out the pond to encourage new life with frogs and other creatures. Willow is one of my favorites, but in the US, the roots ¨find¨water, they love your septic system which leads to costly repairs. The best place to plant willow is at the edge of a pond so there is a water source. LOVE your videos and I look forward to them on Sundays.

I'm always excited to see a new film! Beautiful photography and music as always. Clearing out brush and trees is serious hard work, which I have to do all the time here in warm, humid (swampy) Georgia. It does get you out in nature, however, and it's great exercise. I highly recommend wearing some sort of glasses (safety glasses; sun glasses; etc.) as the brush and brambles can be quite dangerous. Some years ago I got a thorn in my eye. Very painful, but thankfully no permanent damage. I got lucky. Better safe than sorry. It really looks like Spring is on the way! Peace be with you dear friends. 💖🍀🌳🥀🌻🐝🐞

It had been cold here, which is usa, extremely low temperatures compared over the past. I will now go out and do some myself. I think it would be a great idea to post a still picture of how your land looked 1st for all the newcomers to see just how far your land is now. Wonderful job. Thank you. I look forward to your videos every Sunday. You give encouragement. That sunset😮 so beautiful. Yes. I’ve had to cut down half of my bay tree last week. Some kind of nasty orange film? Fungus, growth has killed half of it dead. And on the main truck that menacing growth is on the base heading for the roots. Very sad. I planted is 22 years ago. And yes. She’s who cuts wood, gets warm twice.

Enjoyed this video. I am 73 now and in 2008 after a divorce, I saved for about 8 years and finally bought a little house on the outskirts of the city. It was a large double lot bordering a walking trail. I loved it. I planted over 150 trees and shrubs for privacy and I love trees. Most of them saved from construction sites and along the walking trail as well which gets cut back every year. Those same one-two foot trees are now 50 ft giants. Maple, Oak, fir, spruce, honeysuckle, high bush cranberry, and elderberry. I dug up a 8x10 foot pond at the back of the lot and I dug it 4 ft down to avoid frost. I put a liner in it, surrounded with rocks and put goldfish in the pond. I have had many fish survive our -22 C winters here in East Coast Canada and they have actually had broods (?). Sixteen years later the pond now has iris, lungwort, ferns, and hosta around the perimeter and the fish are quite natural in the habitat. I clean the pond every two years and the very fertilizing water feeds my garden, trees and shrubbery. I have so enjoyed the process. This year, the trees have canopied over the whole area so my garden is mostly in shade and the ground underfoot is all moss. I want my two planted apple trees to survive so I decided to trim back all branches 15 ft up. It shouldn't hurt the trees at all but I'm hoping it will make a difference with letting light in. If not, I'll live with it, it is beautiful to walk around in and sit by the pond. People really don't realize how therapeutic and peaceful any work outside is. We are natural stewards of the earth and unfortunately, becoming less and less so. Enjoy your videos immensely and Lol's beautiful music. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

If you ever wanted to cut down all those seemingly straight-branched willow trunks, ... one could go around the pond, dig down 2 feet and stick those full growth trunks back into the soil, and you could have a big trunk tree startgin to regrow roots, and you have a near-full aged tree filling in any needed wind or shade covering !

I have always been told that the winter is not the correct time to trim trees because it opens the tree up and makes the tree "concerned" about the damage. I guess that is incorrect?
@DanusIrishHerbGarden2 күн бұрын
I go with the theory that as the trees are in hibernation and the sap has gone down, there is less likelihood of infection and traditionally late winter was the time it was done. With Willows, they start flowering in February so this will give them a great boost and impetus to put up new growth. xx

Quite soon before they get too hard but at same time depending on the branch, there is no panic xx

Hard work isn't it ,we've been pollarding our plane tree ,which gives wonderful shade in summer ,but in winter makes the house too dark. It will be as big again by the end of summer ,they have a manic rate of growth .Still cold here xx
@DanusIrishHerbGarden2 күн бұрын
It is a long old job for sure. I think that as these haven't been pruned before that they will also have a great rate of growth xx

Happy new year mrs Terri . Iam Arabic lady subscriber to several British and American KZbin channels since Christmas 2019 . We are as foreigners subscribers as overseas students want to increase our cultural level , improve our English as well but , first of all make friendships with people from different countries. My name is khatoon it’s Turkish origin means Nobel lady as princess. Your name is derived from the Greek origin means ( people ruler ) , or Teresa too which means ( harvest or summer ) . I gathered main information about your homeland Ireland it’s second largest island in British isles, third largest in Europe, twentieth largest island in the world. Dublin is capital of republic and Belfast is north island capital. Harp is symbol of Ireland. Most interesting facts about Ireland Halloween is invented there , Irish language one of oldest living languages in the world, Dracula author is Irish , John Kennedy is first Irish Catholic president of USA . Shamrock is national flower of Ireland. Sessile oak is national tree . Nickname of Ireland is emerald isles . Ireland have two flags to show their support for union or their allegiance to north Ireland. Coppicing means to cut trees or bushes back in order to form small , closely planted area . Pollarding is method of pruning that keeps , shrubs smaller than they would naturally grow . Iam so sorry to be little long but reading and writing both are great ways to improve our English as non native speakers. Best wishes for you your dearest ones . I hope I can learn a lot from your knowledge.
