This video made me smile..My daughter-in-law is a pediatrician. While visiting my grandson a few years ago, he was sick and not getting better. I sliced up an onion and put it in his socks and didn’t tell a soul…. Honestly , it was like a miracle… Later on I received a text from my daughter-in-law, wanting to know exactly how I did it. She recognized the healing properties and every now and then will mention that she put onions in his socks when he gets the sniffles. ❄️❄️☃️☃️

Absolutely, Terri, I was forced off grid to flooding 9/30/16... it was a loooong, cold, dark & emotionally draining winter. Thankfully, I had a small wood stove for heat tho it's more of an ambiance stove than whole home heat and not a flat top which made cooking extra difficult, plus, Every. Single. Stick. Of 5 cord dried seasoned hardwood all washed away so I had to buy & burn green wood. It was so hard, sigh. . So many people aren't equipped for that kind of adversity, it worries me a lot for the near future. Anyway, made it thru to that Spring, had got off grid systems & living in place enough that when it came time to have to power inspection & rehook up, I thought, why? I hadn't paid a power bill in 6 months at that point, and I wasn't mad about that! lol So, 8+ years off grid, under $2000 in total solar power, is well paid for itself by now, of course, concessions must be made at that price point ie: I don't watch TV, cook the old way pre- multi gadgets days, do most laundryby hand- which in itself is going to mentally break people when there's no option one day, definitelyfalls under 'Embrace the Suck...' activities The whole thing taught me so much about life, and how I want to spend the rest of it. Simply, small footprint, feeding the birds, made friends with a squirrel & she's just a delight to feed peanuts too, takes the peanut and with the other paw, holds my finger so gently, haha melts my heart. cooking with fire is in my blood now, I have gas cook top but never use it. Sorry to go on... I'm very passionate about preparedness, for all manor of SHTF, and I need to know I did my best to wake people up to an abrupt, negatively changing situation we're all living in atm. Have a lovely week, hope the power is back soon & the skies clear too.

Hello Terry and Lol and everyone out there, especially the beautiful gang, friends, little and big! Snow is beautiful and is usually welcomed with joy by everyone. We were used to snow in the winter months in the area where I live, but now it doesn't come as often, and as much as before, sometimes not at all, everything has changed around the world nowadays - we had the first snow 2 weeks ago, it snowed for few hours and last even lesser. However, year by year, the authorities seem to be less and less prepared for situations that are not as severe as they used to be, and when something serious comes... I don't watch the news, but from the videos like yours, I learned about all kinds of misfortunes and tragic events that people go through all over the world. It makes me so sad. Then, when I hear the same authorities justifying their decisions and actions for the benefit and well-being of myself and others, it makes me sick. It helps me a lot to think and find gratitude around me, that I walk, talk, see, and hear, at least for that, it really brings me a state of great peace. So, thank you for talking about gratitude! I hope you and all the people out there will have power and water as I write, and Lol is well again. I love onions, and this video was much appreciated for the new information you gave me about onions. Thank you gratefully, take care of you all, and be blessed! ♥️

My wife and I were just talking about how ridiculous it is to depend on electricity ... that's the government agenda, make everyone utterly at the power companies mercy. A desiel 7kva generator comes into its own during power cuts but remember to have a cut-off switch installed in the meter box! People must make provision, be it a 50kg bag of rice or the whole gridless prepper shebang. We find onions are good for the prostate and general good health. Many thanks. Tipperary blessings 💖🙏💫

Everyone needs to follow people in the US who “prep” for emergencies. A small gas stove, candles, torches, extra batteries, warm blankets, hot water bottles, thermos flask, extra foods such as soups, beans, pasta, tomatoes, porridge, bottled water etc. it all helps if you get a power cut or mains water burst.
@JB-pd4niКүн бұрын
YES, most of us had grandparents who kept a pantry stocked and other supplies at hand, we are smart to do the same.
@theclumsyprepperКүн бұрын
Exactly. I have been prepping for years and I would not be bothered if I lost power and water supply. I have a rainwater harvesting set up, a filter to make the water drinkable, food and ways to cook it, heat, medicines, oil lamps, candles and battery operated lights, plus books and puzzles to keep me entertained. I would miss my washing machine in a prolonged blackout, but that's about it.

Onions takes out heavy metals from our bodies. Not if they have come into our cells, which needs other treatments, but otherwise. Food with onions is good: French onion soup, onion pie with graham flour and onions first stirred in curry, or baked or fried onions with autumn apples, for instance. I can recommend the book of Githa Ben David called: Help. For those who are ill with heavy metals. She too writes about onions. Thank you, Danu. I love your videos❤

Thank you for reminding me of the onions in the socks, it was a favourite remedy of my granny’s. That memory lead me to brown paper and goose fat under my liberty bodice. Now there was a garment to behold in the 50s with its wee rubber buttons. Neither cure smelled particularly nice but I guess they worked . She was also a big fan of a poultice made from bread, sugar and household soap, the smell of that was marginally better than the other two. Hope your power and water are restored quickly.

I used a heated onion for my earache years ago. Wow, did it ever help! I didn't boil it. I heated it in our microwave oven. Something you didn't mention, but I'll throw it out for newborn baby mama's- give your colicky (sp?) baby some onion water, just as prepared here in the video. It's supposed to help. Please look it up though - it's been about 37 years since I learned this, so I might have some missing details. My colicky baby, I'm convinced, had the need of a chiropractor, but I didn't know about that until my second baby, about four years too late. I'm not sure the onion water would have helped her in that case. Wonderful video. I had to subscribe!!

I loved this video. I remember my grandfather giving me onion sandwiches when I was young and had a cold. I guess that is where I got my love for that stinky root veggie. I hope everyone gets their power back soon. We here in Kentucky, USA lost power about 2 maybe 3 years ago d/t a huge windstorm. We had 12 trees uprooted and went without power for 76 hours. We have a well that is electric ran because it is too deep to set it up any other way. However, we had a generator to keep food and water from a creek near us. We cooked on a grill and over an open fire. To be honest, it was the most relaxing thing ever.

We got around two inches in west Clare and the schools have been closed for three days. My friend in Kerry said her area was snowed under too. They couldn't get to work.

When my daughter was a baby and got sick, my mother would hang an onion on her crib. Out of curiosity, I asked the Dr. If it actually helped and he was quite amused . My mother was embarrassed that I asked the doctor about it, but she was simply practicing what she had probably learned from her mother. I wish she were here now, so I could let her know that these folk cures can be effective and that the doctor was the ignorant one and not her. There are a couple of her remedies I still use at times.

It's a shame that we don't think about picking our elders' brains when they are here. When my dad and uncles died I suddenly had hundreds of questions. Hopefully we will find old teachers for that knowledge xx

As a child, I had lots of ear problems. My dad was my "Medicine man." He blew cigarette smoke in my ear or warm sweet oil drops, then heated a brick in the oven, wrapped it up in a towel and put it up to my ear. It helped!

These are really fascinating tips! I've had a persistant ear ache that a doctor said is due to TMJ. Could be, but I don't really trust doctors in the U.S. much any more. Thanks so much for the ear-healing tip!❤

Love what you put out into this world! I cut up onions and place them under the bed of my daughter when she has an ear infections. When we where little my dad used to tape a quarter of an onion behind the ear when we had ear pains. Hope the power comes back soon! :) Have a lovely day!

I LOVE onions!! When I was a young child there was a bite taken out of every onion in my Mom's pantry!😊 I was a sickly child but I can now only imagine how much worse it would have been! Never thought about the onions at a salad bar. 😮 thank you. Blessings sent.
