Good morning Terri, and thank you for such a pleasant video. As I have said before, I live in rural N W Alabama. For the most part simple, slow, easy living. I awoke to swollen legs, the news of shootings anywhere from 45 mins to 4 hours from me. Dealing with the physical is one thing and then slapped with all the emotions.....then I turn on your video and it was like a breath of fresh air. What a lovely way to start the day! Happy Spring Equinox -- - lovely tying ribbons (or yarn or bits of string) custom. Tying ribbons and string around trees/shrubs as prayer, intention, or acknowledgement is a custom of Indigenous Peoples (First Nations) here in the US ... probably all of the Americas, as well. I think my plants will like it! My animal families, plants, land seem to shine more brightly with the old ways. They perk up and listen and shine!

Blessed Equinox and Ostara! I made a Spring Tonic Frittata for breakfast today. I foraged wild spring greens (chives, henbit, purple dead nettle, dandelion, and nettles) and found some thyme sprigs in my herb garden. I chopped them up and sprinkled them on top of scrambled eggs, then topped with cheese and garlic. Delicious and refreshing.

I love how you appreciate the trees. I'm not pagan, i'm muslim, but i tend to do something similar in the spring- I sing to the plants, and tell them that they are beautiful, and that i'm grateful for them. I feel like it gives them a little boost of confidence.

In old Ireland, we had Celtic Christianity before Catholicism - where it was possible for people love plants and rocks and all of nature - after all God/Goddess made everything. I think it is instinctive in people regardless of their religion. xxx

Hi Dwayne. Actually it's surprising but the earth on the roof does little to insulate the space. If it were five feet deep maybe but this is only five inches. The insulation is provided by lots of raw sheep's fleece we got from local farmers at a fractional cost. I laid it between the roof beams behind lengths of reclaimed pallet wood. Works a dream!

A nice uplift amid all the turmoil and sadness. Thank you. I feel that there is much more to herbs than the scientific breakdown of their constituents. There is also their essence or intrinsic totality wherein lies the true treasure. They each have their own 'personality' Hard to put into words without being considered flakey.
