This could not have been an easy song to do well. Not only did Boston have one of the most talented singers of the entire rock era in Brad Delp, but their albums are widely known to be the most over-engineered albums of the rock era, literally spending years on getting the recordings just right. I'm sure Dan realized this going in. He's one of the few people I know of who could pull this song off.
