He introduces himself, drops a fat dubstep break then gives a tutorial on masking. I like this guy.

Sorry, but your tutorial did not work for me. I made a *video* mask in the color page as you suggested but after the mask was finished, I went over to the edit page, expecting to see my new *video* mask but only the original video was present. Is your tutorial for still image masks only? If so, did you indicate that or am I missing something? EDIT: You forgot to tell us to "add alpha output". Correct?

Hey, i have a question. The subject in my video comes out of frame and is blocked by another subject shortly after where i want to mask and track. This is causing the tracking to mess up I think, but all i want to do is apply a stone effect (so desaturate and add some grain effect) in that split second in the video, then remove it and have no effect again. How can i do this? Do i even need to use tracking?

Dan, help. In the Fusion masking exercise with the waffle, you placed the Polygon1 mask node in the tree branch with the emoji so I thought you would draw the mask around the emoji. But, nooo, you drew it around the waffle. So now we have an emoji mask in the shape of the waffle?? Then you invert it so now our emoji mask is the entire frame except the waffle shape?? But the emoji does hide in the previewer, just like you wanted. I don't get how this works. Now my head explodes too. 🤔🤯🤕

Great video! Could you create a video that shows how to corner pin a tracked object onto a moving shot but explain what to do if an object in the foreground passes in front of it and how to cover up/mask the object being tracked until the object in the front fully passes over it? Like if you are replacing a picture on a moving billboard but there is a car or person moving in front of it, but you want the picture to still show on the billboard after the foreground object moves past it?
