You are a good storyteller! You got me watching your vlog from beginning to end. Manila has a lot of different facets that you need to discover and not just follow some hearsay! Makati or BGC are quite big and has everything that you may need. It's a PLUS that you have the other cities that you could explore like Quezon city(QC), Manila or Pasay to name a few! Do not hesitate to do the other places...exploration is one of the good things we could do in life! Who knows...it could be rewarding!

Change of scenery or cityscape is a normal scenario in Manila. Tall buildings pop out like mushrooms suddenly w/in meters actually. Why is it? Because we have several developers here who are slowly transforming Manila into a world class city. We have Ayala Land, Megaworld properties, SMDC, Filinvest, Greenfileds etc etc. Once they spot and be able to acquire a sizable land to develop they now develop it into a modern area. That is why the development is scattered around Manila which explains why in a few meters there is change. Sign of a developing nation. In a few years, I suppose more gradual changes will be noticeable.

Dude, there's no way all of Manila will look like BGC. Manila is already built, BGC was built to be like this with good infrastructure, and is relatively new compared to other cities. Many areas in Manila have squatter villages with extreme poverty and there are frequently huge fires. In fact, just 2 blocks from the Uptown mall he was standing in front of is a very poor part of town that looks like homeless shacks for blocks and blocks. All over Manila has poor areas and it's not going to be fixed anytime soon, unless they find oil in their islands and all of a sudden come across riches... which of course the govt still would screw it up for the people.

Yeh bro the only way to go is with a carry-on. If you have multiple flights with short turnovers you are almost guaranteed to lose your luggage . If you are changing carriers you may have to go to baggage claim and then take it to the ticket counter and recheck it for your next flight which depending on which airport you're in could take several hours. Naturally a 2 hour layover is not enough and you are going to miss your flight .
