I used to make bracelets like this using size 11 beads. That was 40 years ago. I needed a reminder how to make them again. Really great tutorial. Thank you very much ❤

Thank you very much! That's amazing, I wonder how old this technique actually is. All I know is that crochet beaded purses were made in the early 20th century.

You are a wonderful teacher. Even though I had no plans to make a a necklace like this, I was so taken in by the clarity, and quality of your presentation that I continued to watch. Now I feel confident that this is something I can do and would like to make down the road.

Man, i have greater respect for those who sell roll on bracelets. Between the time spent stringing and learning to crochet and crocheting, $25 isn't too much. 😮 I appreciate your mastery of this topic. Thank you for all you do

I have watched MANY KZbin tutorials for crochet and this is by far the most detailed, informative and perfectly videoed I have ever seen. I'm confident I can make this beautiful necklace (as a complete beginner in beading) with this video. Bravo and thank you so much for your hard work. It's really the best video I've ever watched on KZbin. 👏 👏 👏 👏

WOW THIS IS THE BEST TUTORIAL!!! YOU KEPT YOUR HANDS OUT OF THE WAY. YOU ALSO PUT UP IN THE CORNER UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE VIDEO A PHOTO OF WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE PUTTING THE HOOK UNDER THE BEAD AND ABOVE THE TWO STRINGS, THAT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED TO SEE!!! PLEASE IF YOU COULD, MAKE A BRACELET LIKE THIS NECKLACE WAS MADE, WHERE BOTH ENDS MEET. SHOWING HOW TO JOIN THE BEADS AT BOTH ENDS OF YOUR WORK, END BEADS MEETING TOGETHER. SHOWING THAT THE BRACELET HAS NO BEGINNING OR ENDING. A PULL OVER YOUR HAND BRACELET, IS WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR. YOUR THE PERFECT PERSON TO SHOW HOW TO DO THIS!!! PLEASE HELP AND DO A TUTORIAL ON THIS!!! I SOOO APPRECIATE HOW SLOWLY YOU DO YOUR TUTORIALS!!! GOD BLESS YOU!!!

I'm so excited to start bead crochet again .When in a greek prison I learned the technique . When I showed craft people what I did they couldn't understand how I did it and I had forgotten how to do it even though used to do it my sleep. Thanks to you I know what to call the process and I'm starting again during these Wisconsin winters. I see your beads wait patiently on their threads and don't slide down like mine do . I'm using medium polyester thread , #8 beads and 1.7 mm crochet hook. Maybe I need a thicker thread? I just ordered a set of needles. I love your accent! Thank you
@Danysska
@Danysska 7 ай бұрын
Thank you very much! ❤️ I use 30W thread with size 8/0 beads. And with 11/0 beads, 50W thread. Mostly polyester, but I also use mercerized cotton. It's not so much the size, but the material and overall properties of the thread. I tried a lot of them before I found the ones that work well. If you're interested, I also sell them on my Etsy www.danysska.etsy.com

I have watched so many tutorials of this technique and you have explained everything that used to confuse me lol ie how the patterns work, how to work the length and properly showing where to thread. You commented that you use different sizes of beads usually smaller than the 8/0, which is great for beginners. Any chance you can show the difference the sizes make to the ones you show when filming please. I work with 11/0 or smaller also and would love to see the difference. Sorry but your voice is so sweet I keep nodding off. I Could listen to you all day lol. Im definately clicking the subscribe button. Great work thank you

Having looked through many tutorials on this I wanted to thank you for being the best so far. Of course I love to make projects as difficult as I can for myself so I started my first necklace using size 17/0 seed beads 😜

I have found the best bead mat i ever got was just plain crafting felt, you can usually get it in packages, and once one piece gets worn out you can toss it and grab another out of the package!

I also use crafting felt sometimes :) But the micro fleece seems to be a litle bit better for me :)

Omg this is so beautiful. 👏🏽👏🏽 I'd love to make it but to be honest it looks a bit difficult to make which may be because I've never done it before. Maybe one day I'll try it because the end result is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing. ❤

@@Danysska funny enough I was really inspired after watching couple of your vids that I bought crochet needle few days ago because thanks to my eastern European blood I'm stubborn thus don't give up easy so will try this.👍🏽🤣 They came in a pack of 2 size 2mm + 3mm so do you think this size will be ok?
@Danysska
@Danysska 10 ай бұрын
@@earthlingsandy That's too big :) I use a 0,5 to 0,8mm hook. You can still use around 1 - 1,3mm, but I prefer not to use more than that, because it won't look good.

I don't know why KZbin brought me here, but this is a very clear and well made tutorial. I am involved with nothing of this sort as a hobby, but even I could follow along and understand the process

@@Danysska So I did actually end up trying this, albeit with glow in the dark yarn and glow in the dark pony beads, as I didn't want to buy things I might only use once. I strung a length longer than my bed, and ended up with a chunky, loose bracelet. It's certainly got many rough spots, but I didn't have too much trouble, other than beads going on the inside of the tube and not being properly aligned. It's big, obnoxious, and a little bit ugly, and I love it. Glows very vividly as well. Thanks for the tutorial

This is the best video I’ve seen on how to slip stitch a beaded necklace. You explain everything so well that it’s hard not to know what to do! What kind of hook are you using? I like a Clover brand myself and DMC thread. Do you show how to make an invisible join in one of your videos? Please let me know. Beading Hugs, Patty 🧑🏻‍🦳

Hi Patty, thank you so much for your kind comment! I vary my hooks, I quite like Tulip, or I use some unbranded bamboo ones. I have the invisible join here in these videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooeQpZpupJifhKM&ab_channel=Danysska kzbin.info/www/bejne/jGnLlmOYislrpqc&ab_channel=Danysska
