Honestly, this mashup blends the lyrical meanings of the two songs pretty well, in addition to the tried-and-true genre mix of soul and metal: "Mother" - a passionate critique of counterproductive censorship pushed by organizations like the PMRC, which fail to address underlying issues with how children are raised "Papa was a Rolling Stone" - An example of the root problem - parental negligence - from the perspective of a now-single mother and her child

The thing I love about these “mashups” (and these are all so much more than mashups) is that they take genres of music that a lot of us wouldn’t have admitted we both liked equally back then. I was a metal kid growing up. But by God I owned Thriller. I wouldn’t have admitted it back then. If Danzig and the Temptations can have accord like this, why can’t the rest of us?
