passionwagon2 yes a blue wire into the wrong housing. Then the code I had to do it manually just check some options. It works fine now it’s been 3 yrs. took me 5 hrs back in October 2017

hello i bought mk7.5 headlights for my 2015 mk7 (xenon lights not the halogen) with the harness 14 pins to 10 pins so when i installed them the high beam started flashing then turned off same thing for the running light i think they need some coding i count find any video of someone explaining on how to do it.do you guys have any idea on how to code them?

In the video your value for lampendefektbitposition 20 is already "0" before you change it. When I try to change it in VCDS, it does not accept "0" as a valid value, the default value is "13", which gives me a code for left brake light high resistance after I finished all other coding as your instruction says, but the tail lights are working with no problem. Any thoughts on how to solve this? Thanks!

rzorNvme I would check lichtfunktion A24 through E24 to see if one of them is set to brake lights. If not then you probably have the wiring incorrect.

Went from Mk7 LED tails to MK7.5 LED tail and now my tail lights only come on with putting the car in reverse. Followed coding and wiring perfectly. Triple checked everything.

Michael DiMarsico I figured it out. Turns out that with 2016+ I had to set Light Function A27 to Standlicht Allgemein (Schlusslicht Positionlicht: Begruzung...) I had A27 set to Rueckfahrlicht which made them come on with reverse. Then I had it set to not active which did nothing. After making that last change, they came on.

Thanks. I went to start my install today. I have oem mk7 cherry red led with dap harness coded via shopdap led app in ob11 currently. I went to change the coding back to standard but all 4 led tail lights still function as the brake light when before any coding only the outer would illuminate. Did you encounter this? I held off on my install to find out more info. I have a 17 se. Any info you share is much appreciated from one mk7 guy to another. Gray area stuff.

I didnt use OBD11 to do the coding. I used VCDS to do it manually. I would make sure your halogen tail lights are functioning 100% normal before trying the MK7.5 tail coding. If you want to message me directly, I am happy to confirm some of my settings from my car with you.
