It is usually the Father's of Sound remix that appears on the compilations. A fabulous remix, no doubt. However, the absolutely angelic anarchy that Dave and Steve bring to this is simply stunning. ☮️💚🏡🎶♾️

I hear ya, Gary. Not long moved down to Cornwall, was living in Chiswick, West London, when this track was shiny new, got my copy tucked away in my memory vault of vinyl! A guy at work, after hearing my involvement in the late 80s early 90s rave scene, told me about some illegal field raves coming up this summer, down here in glorious Cornwall. Truth is, I'm 52 in March, and man, I caned the shit outta the trips and e's back then. To the point I had a couple of “bad ones” and lost the joy of the buzz forever, to a dark, evil place that no one should ever experience. Easy to be all philosophic and say it was never just about the drugs, but by fuck, rushing your nut off, strobes strobing, beautiful people surrounding you, as choons like this drop? There is NOTHING else like it. So yeah, I got ya, buddy, it's a past I, for one, cannot reclaim, and whilst that is indeed sad, at least we were there, brother! We got to experience the Acid House revolution, the Summer of Love, expositions of new dance genres, new fashions, new drugs, hell, a whole new way of life. For that, for the producers, for the DJ's, the organisers, every single person who made that time everything it was, for that, I am forever grateful! Rave on, brother. 🙂🤍

Top tune. I have this tucked away in my vinyl collection. Was played on my fave mix compilation at that time, 'Firm Selection' - 'Banging House' mixed by John Freeze.

John Digweed used this in his 1995 essential mix. This coming off the back of the Blue Amazon dub of Ocean Drive by the Whitehouse family. Epic as only prog house could be.

Correct, but Diggers used an unreleased early acetate copy of Change that is different/better imo than the released version. Check out the BIR edit from the CD to hear some parts that are not used with this version but are in the Diggers copy ;)

@@cheefr0berts I believe so, just played it last week and it is slightly different. It would make sense since I obtained my copy from Dave Seaman. This acetate to be precise www.discogs.com/Daphne-Change-Brothers-In-Rhythm-Remix/release/15674344
@cheefr0berts3 жыл бұрын
@@JurassicTrance Ah nice one. Yes that will probably be it as your Acetate is from Dave Seaman and I know John Digweed has a copy too as he played it in his 1995 Essential Mix. Your Acetate is shorter in duration by 1 minute and as you say it sounds different in certain parts of the remix. The original version that you have features parts from the Brothers In Rhythm Radio Edit that were not used for the released 12" version. Listen here from 2:56 kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHrIknSKbs5piqc
