Daphnia are actually really cute, in some weird way
@goodiethegamer78493 жыл бұрын
I went to a lake and found like 50 of them! If u have a microscope and a lake near you you can most likely find plenty where there’s some algae!

their only purpose in existence is to feed fish, they are litterally called "living food", their life is so insignificant

Daphnia are a popular live food in tropical and marine fish keeping. They mabe used to test the effects of toxins on an ecosystem. They are commonly used for experiements to test climate change aspects, as ultraviolet radiation (UVR) that seriously damage zooplankton species. This a great educational video.

I observed that the daphnia magna moved very fast in a jar. How are you able to setup where the daphnia magna doesn't move but is still alive? Did you take them in a shallower place?
@sci-inspi Жыл бұрын
You can make a very shallow slide, meaning it has very little water. You can also use a coverslip with a convex slide, which has an indent in the slide. If done carefully, you can trap them but not injure or kill them.

Some animals have organs in different places. That is how they evolved.
@raritythefabulous5 жыл бұрын
That's actually a really big split in the animal kingdom, between the line that had organs the way we're familiar (chordates) and the other line that has everything flipped.
@f.jideament5 жыл бұрын
It's just about the survival algorithm of evolution, I guess. It's forming every single possibility with limited sources to see which pattern works better. Seems like, for now, we are doing the best because we have no respect to other possibilities, even against to ones which from our kind.
