Hi When you ever get round to take the body off (very easy) the two large dip switches determine if cab lights are on or off at each end. While the body shell is off not to hard to get the cab out and fit a driver and lastly do yourself a favour and change to Hunt couplings. A well know problem with the 68s is the tension lock droop and the Hunts overcome this Cheers Peter

Nice loco and livery , the Hornby 67 has a similar problem with the couplings . I too fitted Hunts couplings , connects great with them .........Peter

The coupling issue is the Achilles heel of the model and lets it down. As the class run push pull with mk3 or mk4 stock with DVTs this is going to be a major problem with this chassis mounted couplings? They also tend to buffer lock propelling stock on curves! This otherwise superb locomotive shares the same couplings design and problem as the Accurascale Deltic! Both manufacturers seem to have made the couplings system as an after thought.

am hoping its not to bad as i have the accurascale mk5s on pre order and i dont want to just have to run them one way, well see, i now with my bachmann dbso running the train with the loco at the rear doesnt do well on 2nd radius points but atleast i can keep them on my outer track with the minimum 4th radius so hopfully that will be enough for the dodgey couplings, i do think with the amount of development these locos go through these days and the cost of them they need to get back to basics first then add all the fancy stuff, thanks for watching and commenting. Hi I have a Hornby Wagon which carries three containers they are of plastic the wagon it self is steel. wheels are steel. Never has it come off at slow or speed. I got it at amazon £44. Very good

Hornby wagons do tend to be more reliable, it seems you can either have a basic wagon that works on any track or a highly detailed wagon that's temperamental unfortunately, I've just got some new wagons from dapol so it will be interesting to see how they run compared to the megafret wagons

I used hunt couplings on my dapol class 29 as it had the same problem l used the none polar ones Ron @ Willenhall Parkway

Hi i got this sound fitted one from dapol i think there sold out now, you could try ebay or hattons for a pre owned one, or carnforth models i think still has them in stock and you could send it of to get sound fitted, hope this is helpful
