Thank you for sharing your thoughts on this company's products! I heard about this company from Glam Finds, and was pleased to see their shipping to Canada was reasonable. Looking forward to my order getting here eventually :-) I know some people hate the idea of clones and dupes and I can appreciate why, but I find it's a helpful way to sample (or at least get an impression) of hard to find, discontinued, or very expensive fragrances before buying the real product, as you mentioned. I haven't smelled MMM Coffee Break, but it sounds like many people are disappointed/surprised that it's more of a lavender scent than a coffee scent. Looking forward to any future reviews you do from this company, if you decide to purchase again. Thanks and take care!

Thank you for your review Sarah. I absolutely agree with you. Clone houses have their place in the community, besides not every people's financing reality allows them to spend $500 on a bottle of perfume.

ohhhhh i have heard a lot of great things about Dapper... i am actually quite overwhelmed with all the clone houses now... that i don't own any yet.. hahaha.. but the ones from Dapper are really unique.. ones i have never seen cloned before like you said.. i mean, Baraonda?? come on! YES !

From another of your videos, you reviewed Swiss Arabian Royal Mystery. I just tried a sample of it that with my order of Persia. I love it. Just ordered a full bottle fr Fragrancenet. It’s really lovely. Thanks again for another great video. People say it reminds them of Jo Malone English Pear and Freesia. I don’t get that. I think English Pear is more tart all thru the life of the fragrance.

I tested coffee break and could not smell coffee either. I have heard this from other reviewers as well.

The only dapper I tried smelled nothing like the original and it was super oily. But you’re definitely making me want to try them out again! I’ve tried 5 clone houses now and so far my favorite is montagne parfums. Their formula is the only one that isn’t oily and the prices are great! The only downfall is they don’t have many feminine fragrances yet.

agreed montagne is great, also my fav! But also are you letting your oily fragrances oxidize for a few weeks 2-6? They really NEED it imho. My favorite dupe houses are Montagne, Dua(only certain ones), juliannas & Dapper. But have to pick wisely from each brand, b/c some of the brands lack on certain styles of fragrance.

@@SarahMayes I ordered 4 or 5... Byredo Gypsy Water, Creed Silver Mountain Water, Diptyque Tam Dao, Roja Elysium, and Ormonde James Montabaco... I love woody, clean fragrances that lean masculine so I hope I love them all! I don’t have any of the originals as I could never afford them so I won’t be able to tell how accurate they are but you seemed pretty confident that the ones you had were close. I’ll let you know my thoughts when I get them! Thanks!

I’ve been to Malle counters and Musc Ravageur is the best IMO but it is something I wear so rarely that my counter-made sample is enough. I’ve been dying to try Tauer frags. That was very interesting that they cloned one.

Hello beautiful Sarah! Great review, particularly since you had several originals to compare, and you found them very similar and they had good performance. I agree, even getting a sample decant of some niche perfumes is ridiculously expensive......and then what? You fall in love with it and the cost of a FB is just not feasible. PORTRAIT OF A LADY......my ultimate pick. 👍 Your lipstick is just lovely for this time of year. I had worn a Clinique pick very close in shade for ages, but then the quality really changed, so I switched to Sephora's own brand, and have been very happy with their formulation.

Straight to Heaven Extreme definitely smells different from the original Straight to Heaven- so I don’t know if comparing the extreme clone to the original non-extreme makes the most sense. Their difference is not only in the intensity of the notes, they actually smell noticeably different. I do agree that both of them are pretty masculine though.

I have the original Unknown Pleasures and the Dapper version. Love both. I find Ex Idolo Love and Crime to be similar. Nest Citrine is a distant relative of Unknown Pleasures. Love it too.

I ordered FDB Santal Complet and compared to the original sample: it is super potent for the first 20 minutes and highly creamy, but after it settles it is satisfyingly similar:)) Have sprayed at night for bedtime and also my sheets... ah! delight of fluffy heaven!

Coffee Break original doesn't really have coffee either. I tracked it down in Nordstrom when it came out long ago and I was disappointed. Once I adjusted my expectations I came to like it but not enough to buy it. I think they were trying to capture the vibe of a cafe w/o the actual coffee. BItter Peach is a loser imo. I like peach notes but that fragrance is just a dud to me.

I like Tom Ford Bitter Peach. I bought a clone from Be Layered and I am not sure. It smells like peach jello. It is strong . It is good but I wouldn’t get a full bottle.

Peach is a hard note to get right IMHO. Tom Ford got it right in bitter peach but I think that’s a hard one to clone. ❤️

I respectfully disagree about clone houses being good for deciding whether to buy the real thing. I think decants are 100% the way to go for that. I've had "clones" that made me think the fragrance was bad then when I smelled the real thing it was actually good. How silly of me to judge a good house by some copycat house. I learned my lesson.

You are definitely right about just getting decants of the real thing. It’s less expensive that way too. Not all cone houses are created equally either. Some are good some are terrible.

It does not smell like coffee. I actually really love coffee break but it’s not coffee. Which was a little disappointing. I actually think it’s similar to Ariana’s REM. But they are different
