One thing I love with the set up of Sting at Alin’s matches He doesn’t interfere or make the match crap that way, but he keeps an eye on both wrestlers to make sure injuries don’t get missed; he’s always in the right spot to see it clearly. He’s almost playing the role of a second referee - and with guys that go as extreme as these two it’s what you need. Obviously, Matt is there as well - but he’s working the crowd whilst the guys get checked; doing the shocked face stuff and so on.

So far i can see darby and wardlow , two great characters who could become larger than life. Mjf do have some chance but darby and wardlow have that strange aura tons of charisma and that ring presence. Just look how he came out as an absolute star even in his defeat. It lost to punk, andrade, Jeff and every other guy but still his character is unaffected. They need to give some more time to the characters of malakai black, buddy mathews, keith lee, hook,andrade and they need to find something that is larger than life.
@floresmusic22 жыл бұрын
Listen man, you got no clue what you’re talking about. MJF made Wardlow and he is easily the biggest draw next to CM punk and Danielson. Darby is cooled off and Wardlow is mainly hot because of MJF. All those other guys you mentioned are doing stupid things that don’t make sense. As far as this match goes, it was a stupid match that made no sense that did nothing to honor Owen Hart. @@floresmusic2 well i think the otherwise. I said it because i know what i am saying though 😂. Just imagine expecting a highflying and high paced match from big show. These two guys are known for taking risky bumps and if i am to honor someone then i would do what i do best and not try to imitate him because there is a high chance that something would mess up and ruin everything. You are hating the authenticity here. And considering mjf as a draw and this soon is quite a bigger statement to make. And i think you should know that neither cm punk nor danielson were drawing for aew when it was an infant company. It was jericho and moxley and to very extent they are still doing the same. It's just that they have couple of more known faces that would attract the fans. If you wanna take out the topic of drawing better not forget that. Plus i was saying about the character work and nothing about drawing. Darby has taken more losses than mjf and trust me if mjf was to lose like darby does his character would just die or feel really irrelevant and that is what i am saying. Being a larger than life character is really important and for that one needs to be resilient enough to be unaffected even after taking losses. How many times undertaker lost or sting lost or rock lost, that never mattered, they always had the attention of crowds and i can very much see that in darby as well. The likes of malakai back and his entire faction is also the same. No matter how many times Danielson loses or moxley loses or punk loses they are still gonna be considered strong. You pointlessly connected this point of my with the bumps they have taken and in between shoving your own take which was really not needed though. All this essay of comment that i have written is to say to you one thing that is have some clue of your own sir....

@@basanta6120 you’re pretty much wrong on most of what you said. I’ll put it simply so you can understand. This is a qualifying match for a tournament. It was supposed to be a wrestling match just like the others not a high spots fiasco with two baby faces involved. It’s not a blood feud that required another stipulation. This would’ve been fine as a regular match, it would’ve been great. If they were going to do something like this, it should’ve been after a long feud. This is the reason stipulation matches don’t matter as much anymore. It’s supposed to be wrestling not a stunt show. Right now MJF is one of the top drawing stars in AEW. He’s Great wrestler and a master on the Mike. He’s already bigger than Malachi black and the rest of his corny segments. Heck, the judgment day is doing the house of black better than the house of black. Also, do you have your timeline wrong. Danielson and punk weren’t even here when AEW started so your argument falls apart. Obviously names like Jericho and Moxley would be the top draw when AEW was barely coming up. They still have an audience but it’s nowhere near as big as Danielson, Punk, and MJF. Darby and Warlow still have a long way to go. MJF is Miles ahead of them. To put it simply, the real wrestlers like punk or MJF draw a larger audience then corny/comedy wrestlers like Cassidy and the house of black

This is beyond sports. This isn’t even pro wrestling. This is punishment. This is someone taking the impact of a car wreck over, over, and over again. It is what it is. Does it really matter who wins or loses a match like this?

When guys look like they are trying to kill each other and themselves without there even being any real built-up animosity the match will make no sense.

I agree, Darby looks like he's trying to hurt himself even more than he's trying to hurt his opponent. Someone also point out how tone-deaf it was to have a wrestler plunge off from a ridiculous stunt (that could've easily gone wrong) in an Owen Hart tribute event.
@floatingdisembodiedhead89752 жыл бұрын
@@christophermarriott1681 that was certainly edgy. Tell Darby that the '05 called and they want their mom's make-up and skinny jeans back lmao

Both Damian Priest and The Miz took the Swanton Bomb from Jeff Hardy, then they transitioned to a roll up predicament to pick up a win over Hardy. Now Jeff took the Coffin Drop from Darby Allin, then he transitioned to a roll up predicament, just like Damian Priest's, to get a victory over Darby Allin.

Dude, this is way too dangerous and unnecessary. Shawn Michaels had to retire after his back injury. Why risk young talent like Darby Allin and a legend like Jeff Hardy that has sustained so many injuries in his life with matches as extreme as this?

I've been saying it since FTR got eliminated from the tournament, the only person that has given as much to wrestling as Owen did is Jeffrey "Nero" Hardy. And his willingness to put his already battered body through even more punishment shows he still cares about wrestling and that's exactly what the Owen Hart Memorial Tournament should be about. The only person I see him being truly being beaten by, and dominated by, is the one and only. The true Samoan Submission Machine....SAMMOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAA JJOOOOOOOOOEEEEEEEE
@johnstrika91702 жыл бұрын
Lmfao. You actually have the nerve to put Owen Hart, a consumate professional, to the guy who has spit in the face of nearly every company that's given him second and third chances?
@Sumguyinavan_3 ай бұрын
With the stunts Darby is willing to risk, he absolutely is a Jeff Hardy of this era, so its nice seeing them put on a match with exactly the kind of spots to be expected of them. He absolutely has his demons, but Jeff will be a legend in the industry for some of those famous dangerous aerial spots. And Darby will earn his own place in history in similar ways, hopefully without the asterisks that Jeff has had put on his own record.
