@@SparklyFluffyness Lopatkina was sheer magic to behold on stage and Zelenski was handsome, virile and a perfect foil for Lopatkina's delicacy. You knew you were in the presence of dance geniuses. Not since watching Plisetskaya have I witnessed such inspired dancing. Those two were cut from the same cloth!!!!

Looking at this again. This could have been the greatest pairing since Fonteyn and Nureyev. Bussell has charisma, and womanly virtues that knock dancers like Zakharova into the sidelines. Igor Zelensky so fabulous, and a great partner.

Thank you for your comment. I've seen Gamzatti variation performed in Le Corsaire pdd before, but I also don't know why. Perhaps someone else can explain?

This was a fantastic pas de deux but would have been so much better the audience had saved their applause for the end. It's distracting for the Dancers the rest of the audience can't hear the music goodness sakes people save your course for when they finished how much more polite.
