Hey mate, can you show us how you fitted it to the tent?, can see the tough touring brackets but the awning doesn’t look quite long enough??

I also love my gen 2 270, but, when walls 2 and 3 are fitted they leak very bad along the join and zippers and the bag too. Water run off is also impeded a bit because it is very difficult with the walls fitted to lower the awning material. makes for a very uncomfortable night when your in an open swag getting dripped on. Darche have recognised the bag leaking as a known issue, guess your lucky to not experience the joy :-) With my bag, I have no issues fitting the awning and the extra poles in it. I saw when you rolled yours up you didn't fold the 1st triangle piece at the rear up into the middle. I do that and then roll it and have not had a problem at all, even with the extra poles :-)

Heard lots of people have had water ingress issues with the awning bag, have you encountered anything similar?

No mate, never had water in the bag at all. Only water issue was the seeping through the seems I mentioned.

Hi Jeff, when you had the awning mounted on the canopy did you have any clearance issues with the canopy doors. Relating to when it’s packed and unpacked.

Hey Nath, thanks for watching. Nah no issues with clearance at all, either set up or packed up. I’d take some photos but don’t have the Ranger for 6 weeks. It’s in getting. SAS conversation 👍

Hey Jeff just sold my 30 second awning considering the darche, but I really like the bush company xt max, what’s your thoughts at the moment are you considering upgrading? Seen a darche for 1099 on snowys

Mate, if you can afford and justify the xt max then I reckon, I see they now do wall kit with screened windows, that takes it to next level in my opinion. I haven’t rushed out yet to upgrade but I just just purchased a Y62 patrol. I plan to put the darche on the patrol and get the xt max for the Ranger. Hope this helps. Cheers 🍻

Hi Jeff, greeting from Indonesia. I have the exact awning+retreat annex. But there's big issue with water pool especially in the middle where the annex attached (Already put all the poles and stretch all the guy line). Do you have the same issue? maybe you can share the solutions from your experience? thank you in advance

Gidday Y, thanks for watching, we really appreciate it. Yes mate we have similar problem when walls are on. It seems to be the seam on the awning catches the water when running off. After awhile this creates small leaks/drips. I’ve had the Darche for about 3 years now and will be replacing soon. I will be doing another video summarising my experience, thoughts and recommendations on the Darche 270 eclipse awning and wall kit. Cheers Jeff 🍻
