Michael did. Journey was big from around 1980-1984, strangely the very years Aerosmith was out of commission. Same band? ;

Begged. I begged my parents to let me go to Angel Stadium with my sister and brother in law for the Escape tour. At 11 it was a no go. I graduated high school, Perry left the band and that was it for me. The soaring notes, the soprano range, the way he effortlessly climbed the scales higher and higher then would beautifully take them back down.... So many greats in the rock world. But this man...... So beautiful in every sense.

Neil Shon. Amazing guitarist. The magic of Journey, in my opinion, was the combination of Steve Perry, Neal Shon and Jonathan Cain. Their musical and song writing talents were second to none. Those three together were FIRE.

Absolutely 💯. I was really frickin' lucky to see Journey 4 times. Infinity, Escape, Frontiers & Raised on Radio tours. Live, Steve Perry absolutely SMASHES the vocals. My favorite band. You don't find music this good anymore hardly ever. Of course I'm kinda biased, lol.

You are absolutely right! Jonathan Cain's keyboard work on this song, especially the piano is amazing. Neil Shon just shredded the fretboard on the solo and of course, Steve's phenomenal vocals especially when he hit the upper echelon of his vocal range and then was able to sustain it. Just amazing! Not many vocalists can do that, and even fewer male singers. The three guys really made this band.

Journey is a great American rock band formed in 1973 by former members of Santana, Steve Miller Band & Frumious Bandersnatch. Journey had their biggest commercial success between 78-87, when Steve Perry was lead vocalist. They had so many hits including "Don't Stop Believin'", "Open Arms", "Who's Crying Now", "Wheel In The Sky", "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)", "Faithfully", "Send Her My Love" & "After The Fall".

I watch you more than any who does reaction videos because you know great music when you hear and see it. I was at those concerts that you reacted to live in Houston. And I feel that no MAN NOR WOMAN can out due Steve Perry his voice is amazing and he owns it he is second to none. Listen to "I need you!!!!! It's my new favorite love song too my wife of 35 years we raised 4 sons together and now we have 4 grandchildren I am a family man who has morals and values. His other recent songs will blow your mind Listen also "IN THE RAIN!!!!! I dedicated this song to my 2 dogs who passed away after 17 years the song will touch your soul. Last but not least Listen to "YOU BELONG TO ME!!!!! You can feel his pain when he sings these 3 songs I mentioned. His girlfriend passed away from breast cancer in the early 2000s and they were only together for one year and a half and she had Steve make her a promise that he wouldn't go back into hiding the fans need to hear him again so he kept his promise to her

This performance of the song is utterly gorgeous! Loved watching your reaction to this video, and your appreciation for Neal Schon’s guitaring warms my heart as well. Schon is actually one of the founding members of Journey, and is the only one left from the original lineup. His cofounder Gregg Rolie was the original keyboardist and vocalist for the band. They both came from Santana where Rolie also did keyboards and vocals. If you ever want to dig that far back, I recommend Spaceman or Look Into the Future. Anyway, Schon said he came up with the original melody of the song by tapping it out on a piano. His reasoning was it helped him to come up with a more mellow sound which worked incredibly well. Obviously the guitar solo was not tapped out on a piano… that’s just Schon’s knack for living in the moment and letting his guitar speak for him.
