Daredevil Born Again Is Going To Be Crucial For the MCU

So far, it does look like they are doing Daredevil justice. Something I still keep in mind, though, is that they have misled us with trailers before. Even with some of the really good films. Hulk is running along with the other Avengers in the trailer for Infinity War as an example.

I am trying to disagree with you but I just can’t. I am a Marvel Comics fan since the early 70s. The MCU movies and the early TV shows were a dream come true for me. I mean it was the stuff I had wished for as a kid. It was worth the wait. I have not watched the Born Again trailer and I won’t. I will probably watch and I am hoping for the best. (I don’t get how the “Echo castrated” Kingpin can be much of a problem for Matt Murdock.)

We need to start being honest here: no one single show or film is going to "save" the MCU. The first three phases were built up over several films, and while not all of them were homeruns, they didn't ruin the overall goal they were ultimately leading up to, which was _Endgame._ The last few years have been less than stellar (to put it mildly), and regardless of what people may have thought of it, Deadpool & Wolverine was a rare win for them. I know it's been said over and over again at this point, but in order for them to even begin to win fans back, they're going to have to change tactics.

Just like DC f**ked up by turning every character into Batman, the MCU f**ked up by turning every character since Iron Man into Spider-Man. If this show lets Daredevil be Daredevil in good Daredevil stories, and Marvel revisits in at least decent stories every future character to be who the fans expect them to be (watching you X-Men and Fantastic Four), maybe we can hope for something of a revival.

You can't unsee what has been shown when they made Daredevil do the walk of shame and Kingpin getting his nuts cut off in Echo. This show is just one cog in the rotten machine that is called the M-SHE-U and after Endgame Kevin Feige should've taken 2 years off in order to come up with a plan and ignore Bob Iger's obsession with pandering. But we all know what happened for Kevin went Iger's way and it ended up destroying whatever hope was left in the M-SHE-U as a whole and Daredevil can be a top 10 masterpiece, but it will not save the MCU for that ended after Endgame and whether we like it or not Daredevil is a street level character and none of the supposed New Avengers looks like they can't even beat Daredevil let alone Vincent Von Doom(played by RDJ) that is a variant from the multiverse(yes they are never going to stop using that). My hopes are still not restored especially after all we have seen and fixing one small part of a massive franchise will not restore it and for Daredevil is just one people for Kevin is going to have to fix everything for the multiverse for many reasons and the big ones are that there are no stakes(one character can be killed and yet it can be replaced by a variant) and the characters do not matter due to there being infinite variants of them to just replace along with come up with an actual plan and follow through it and Kevin can do that by abandoning the DEI/ESG/WOKE trash as well as not talk about politics at all. But who are we kidding for this is Disney and they are not going to give up the woke stuff for they are more scared of morons on the internet then the paying customers(we have made our thoughts known to them) and yet they keep on doubling down and failing.

The leaked D23 trailer was even better. Some of the footage from it is in this new teaser, but they still haven't officially released it and I'm not sure why if everything and everyone shown in it is still the same. You see a bit more from that diner scene with Matt and Kingpin, brief footage of Karen and Foggy, and a few other surprises. If you haven't seen it, it should still be here on KZbin. It's off screen and you hear crowd reactions, but that won't matter by the time it's over. Despite how great that trailer is, I'm in the exact same boat you are. I can't let myself "believe" as Disney gas burned us thus far. Cautious as all hell for a very long time.

The born again comics did have a number of issues in a row in which you didn't have DD in costume. ITMT: The only way to fix Kingpin (and DD himself from She-Hulk) is that this is not the same continuity. Something I'd heard since Hawkeye. Otherwise, you have Nick Fury in Secret Invasion: a great character destroyed in previous properties (Captain Marvel).

Exactly, it's a step in the right direction. The problem with the MCU, main problem along with lots of problems, is that ever since phase 2 was that it got stuck to its own formula rather than let the project and characters be what they needed to be. Some stories should be fun and others not. This is how it is in comics but MCU has been ignoring that. But with Daredevil they showed to be intended to give the best product and respect the source material, which is what they need right now

So when you that Marvel needs to be saved, what exactly do they need to be saved from? I know what the themes of the movie were, but it doesn't make sense when he saw her die, had possession of her body, and buried her. Hawkeye handled not accepting someone being gone way better. Razorfist almost took his sons head off during the bus fight, Shaun easily could've died there. Him being unkillable is not supported by the film. And if Wenwu knew that his son was unbeatable, why did he send his men to their deaths? Why didn't Wenwu order his men to capture Shaun instead of killing him? or have them tell him: "We've got your sister." Shaun also almost died when Wenwu's men attacked the fight club. Wenwu is a moron. "Even in channels of people who hate the mcu, many comments find the movie good" - Well, they're wrong, there are problems with pretty much all of the characters, and lots of problems with the plot and world building.
