As an original Daredevil show fan, that sequence, which I only saw as part of a review to be fair (like the whole 5 minutes around it or whatever), that sequence actually really made me so mad. It was frankly disgusting. I’m like, guys, we watched the original Matt Murdock Daredevil, and sorry not sorry, he was never ever a guy who slept around and basically was the male version of a slut… he wasn’t banging women left and right. From my my memory, I appreciated the dynamic between Matt and Karen because it showed a closeness and developed a connection that did not become about just having sex. It was more grounded and real than that. So why go there and essentially mock his character so much, and try to ruin him, there’s no reason for it!

In the scene where the mask is falling, there's a body on pavement surrounded by blood. Maybe they've taken a leaf out of Deadpool's book and he's found a way back in time to kill the she-hulk version and kill Danny Rand before he became Iron Fist thereby stopping the Defenders ever happening.

It has peaked my interest enough to somehow bring a dying ember to life. Sadly, a slight gassy dei breeze can take it out. Hawkeyes, "Don't do that, don't give me hope." Line fits here. I will keep up with news for now, but seriously, I need this show to ignore the crap they've done - retcon it to oblivion if possible. Especially She-Hulk. Ignore her like the plague. Retcon all attraction confrontation as her sensational mental delusions after the meeting him. Honestly, she is like an old female incel feminist who got a wish fulfillment of being a bomshell beauty with brawn but did nothing actually truly heroic with it.

The show, and then by extension the character, Daredevil, saved my life. I was first introduced to the character through the show and became so enamored with it, I went and read through his entire comic roster from 1964 to now. I have been an addict and was suicidal for the longest time and what I loved so much about daredevil was how much I related to him. That even though he had some tough things happen to him (Born Again as a prime example) he still persevered and never gave up and continued to believe in justice. This character means so much to me and to so many people because he provides me with so much hope. I’m happy to say I’ve turned my life around and I’m not in such a low state anymore. But I’m looking forward to the show BECAUSE of how much Daredevil meant to me and helped inspire me to overcome my afflictions and be better. I know I’m rooting for the show to succeed because it is always a great reminder to me to never give up.

@@thebrewingsailor9172 it’s the little things that help me related to him. I’m not catholic myself but I grew up in a religious household. Had a bit of “Battlin’ Jack” type tough love where I was expected to follow a path my parents picked out for me, then feeling like I wasn’t measuring up then things just spiraled out from there. Big reason why the show was so great was cuz of quotes like this: “It ain't how you hit the mat, it's how you get up.” And “Lots of people aren't afraid of dying, when it comes down to it. It's living that scares the crap out of them.” Little pick me ups when ya need it most from the man without fear. Things like that help kept me going and why I am so appreciative of the show for allowing me to escape for a bit.

The trailer job is to sell you, it could be all the best parts. It still needs to be good writing. Violence and dark isn't the only thing that made DD Netflix good, it seems Marvel doesn't fully understand that. They tried that with the Echo trailer also. I hope it's good but I'm going in with low expectation, it's D plus and it's MCU. I fully expect some cameos from mid characters and I expect some messaging in there. If this was a movie, I would be more optimistic but it a D plus series. The leaked trailer already showed that Ms. Marvel dad will be in this series. I fully expect Echo to appear also. we shall see.

It has to be good all 9 episodes, not a slow start, not 2 or 3 boring episodes. dark and violent is cool but that's just one component that made DD Netflix good. It needs good writing that respects what came before it, Look what happened with Echo, that was advertised as the most violent show ever and it was TV MA. Many see original cast, and nostalgia and hyped up, it could be a trick. I hope it's good but my expectations are low, I fully expect cameos from She Hulk and others. It is considered, the yellow helmet was shown in the trailer and he wasn't in Hells kitchen in that show. This is basically continuing after season 3 but still MCU, the clues are in the trailer. There's a Rogers the musical play advertisement shown in the background That musical was in Hawkeye. and Kingpin running for Mayor which developed in Echo post credit scene. Actually, Daredevil was mostly produced by Marvel Television, which was only loosely connected to Disney Marvel at the time. Jeff Loeb pretty much ran the show there and Feige just signed off on everything with neither one of them having much of an idea of what the other was doing. That's why the final two seasons of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. make no reference to the snap happening, despite supposedly taking place after it; Loeb had no idea that it was going to happen.

It's a good thing to see Disney enbrace the R rating where it needs to be. Buuuuut, I'm still leary of a bait and switch. On the flip side of the coin, this is the most exited I've been for a Disney/Marvel show after that trailer. D & W was an experimental abnormality for them and it paid off, so here's hoping they’ve pulled at least part of their head out of their asses.

What I saw in the trailer that makes me think Disney is not going to She Hulk this, was that arm break shot. Literally showed the bone break through the arm and protrude the guys shirt and it was some short gore. High hopes

As a Daredevil reader since the 90’s and a big Miller/Nocenti fan, I think Soule’s run was my favorite after those. Muse was a really good villain, creepy and threatening. The art was consistently good and Soule actually knows what he is talking about (to a certain extent) when it comes to law. Succeeded in the Catholic guilt aspect of the character as well. I would recommend everyone go back and read it if you haven’t. I know they collected it in an omnibus a couple times now.

They're going to screw this up. I still hope they won't... but I've been running out of hope lately, especially when it comes to mainstream entertainment. So, I'll be glad if it turns out great, but I won't be surprised if this is a decent trailer for a show that'll burn these characters to the ground with terrible writing. I can almost already taste the allegories they'll be shoving down our throats in the form of a twisted version of Matt's faith, Fisk running for office/becoming mayor being forcibly "relevant", and Castle's vigilantism and relationship with the police.
