Wait what you guys seriously think shes a Mary sue!? I just saw the movie and she literally gets her ass kicked multiple times and has to get help on many occasions. Shes capable but she makes lots of mistakes but she learns from them. She's a very similar character to Eowyn for the peter Jackson movies, so if you don't have a problem with that character in the trilogy you and everyone else holds dear then you shouldn't have a problem with this one. Im not saying shes perfect but far from a mary sue

Honestly watched the movie with my GF, turned my brain off and did the same thing I do with anything I consider "Non-Cannon" enjoyed parts of it. Imo if you ignore some of the very annoying girlbossing+ some other minor things, and just go with it as a fun watch its a solid 7/10. the Helm hammerhand going sicko mode went really hard but then again its hard to mess that up if you don't wildly stray from the source. In my eyes Jackson Trilogy and the hobit is the true LOTR Cinema, the rest is just cheap immitations and should be watched as such only then can you actually enjoy the movies.

You are being a little to much crybaby, sadly, this movie was acceptable, a solid 5 even a posible 6. In comparison the hobbit was a 3/4 and RoP a 1/2.

I liked the movie. A little light in an otherwise cloudy lotr era. I thought Hera as a character worked well. Epic at a lot, she is the daughter of Hammerhand after all. Would love to see more of Hammerhand and Fréaláf though.
